Over 5,000 schools and 4 million parents across the U.S. utilize our platform to stay informed and involved from the way they prefer to be notified – email, text, voice, web, app, social – to the ways they can interact with schools – forms, sign ups, payments, RSVPs, language translations, chat and more. Who We’re Looking for

As the first person in this newly created role of Business Development Manager, you’ll have the opportunity  to source, establish and create long-lasting relationships with new partners and revenue streams. You’ll work closely with our Chief Strategy Officer both internally and externally to drive, build and test new Go-To-Market initiatives. You’re someone who knows how to make and build connections with key decision makers and someone who can partner with various teams to deliver results. You have a deep understanding of the EdTech landscape and trends that you can leverage to continue to build the momentum of ParentSquare.  Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion to improve the lives of  students through communication.

This role will include:

  • Working directly with the Chief Strategy Officer to accelerate strategic initiatives.
  • Identifying, building, and testing new GTM approaches and strategies that deliver results.
  • Understanding of the EdTech landscape, both technically and operationally.
  • Researching education technology, industry and competitive trends.
  • Building internal programs that have foundation to scale with documented processes.
  • Developing financial models and business proposals with defined success metrics.
  • Be a thought leader and partner for the marketing, sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborating on RFPs for new business opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in the K-12 market.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and operationalizing strategic initiatives
    • Public or Private Sector
  • Willing to travel to meet partners, customers and internal stakeholders and attend events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree is a plus.
