Who We Are

ParentSquare is a rapidly growing Santa Barbara-based company that’s changing the way schools and parents communicate every day. Sounds simple? We strive to keep it that way! Over 10,000 schools and 5 million parents and guardians across the U.S. utilize our platform to stay informed and involved from the way they prefer to be notified – email, text, voice, web, app, social – to the ways they can interact with schools – forms, sign ups, payments, RSVPs, language translations, chat and more. We just celebrated our 10th anniversary and are excited to continue advancing K-12 communications equity with our intuitive and easy-to-use platform so districts and schools can connect with all parents and guardians.

Who We’re Looking for

We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team to support ParentSquare’s launch of new products, partner products, and significant feature enhancements. You will own the marketing aspects of partner, product and feature launches from start to finish, from the initial competitive analysis to marketing launch plan to pulling together all internal stakeholders to make sure everything happens as expected and on schedule. You’re a SaaS marketing generalist who also is a solid project manager. As a key member of the marketing team, you know how to work collaboratively within a department and across departments—and across companies—to clearly and effectively plan and execute a partner, product or feature launch in a way that stimulates demand and sales. Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication.

This role will include:

  • Driving positioning, messaging, segmentation, insight development, and go-to-market efforts for ParentSquare products
  • Developing and executing marketing launch plans for new products and key features in conjunction with sales, product management, and customer success.
  • Creating a framework of value proposition, benefits, reasons to believe and business outcomes for the company and product and create assets to communicate them
  • Gathering market insight through customer interaction, win/loss analysis, market intelligence, SWOT, competitive analysis etc.
  • Developing sales enablement strategy, including content, presentations, product collateral and position for the sales team
  • Driving customer awareness and adoption of ParentSquare features to drive retention
  • Channeling the voice of the customer and owning buyer personas
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team on content for campaigns, newsletters, websites, blogs, webinars, and other demand-gen vehicles
  • Working with external channel partners (for example, student information system providers) for co-marketing and revenue share opportunities
  • Determining, with channel sales, the appropriate presence at partner events and conferences and coordinating with ParentSquare’s internal events coordinator.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 3-5 years of product and/or channel marketing experience for SaaS products.
  • Hands-on SaaS channel or product launch marketing experience working collaboratively with product management and cross-functional teams.
  • Some understanding of, or background in, the edtech or education industry with knowledge of what resonates with district-level decision makers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good general grounding in marketing practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience using Hubspot, Slack and GSuite (a plus).
  • Overall, a tech savvy individual who communicates and writes well.
