The Retired Teachers try to stay involved in our community in different ways . We sponsor the 5th Grade Grandparents Essay each year, we give out an Educational Scholarship to a Senior at BCHS that plans to become an Educator, we keep up with the State Legislature and laws that pertain to teachers and children, and we keep current in Health Insurance news for our teachers. We team with community partners to provide human services with dignity and respect, empowering people in Southern Kentucky to achieve stability and economic security.

Community Action of Southern Kentucky is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation funded by Federal, state, and local government funding, private contributions, and user fees. Community Action is governed by a board of directors, representing elected officials, community representatives, and low income citizens and advocates. Professional and dedicated support staff are assigned to the various programs in each county. With a budget and assets over $15 million, Community Action maintains approximately 35 program facilities in our 10-county area.

Morgantown Mission is a community thrift store and outreach ministry dedicated to serving families and individuals throughout Butler County. Proceeds from our thrift store help support our food pantry and other local ministries designed to meet practical needs with compassion and dignity. ❤️

Services & Ministries We Offer
🍞 Food Pantry
We provide one food box per household every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

🎒 Backpack Program Support
We help provide food for the Backpack Program throughout Butler County to support children and families in need.

🪨 The Rock Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry meets every Tuesday night, offering encouragement, fellowship, and faith-based activities for young people.

🧺 Support for the Unhoused
We provide food, clothing, shower access, and washer/dryer services for unhoused individuals in our community.
