  • School Safety Update

Hello Panthers! I am thrilled to share our school safety data!  Thank you parents for supporting us in raising the bar for Riverview Middle School's schoolwide expectations.  We are seeing a huge increase in positive behaviors, feeling of safety, engagement in lessons, great grades, and improved attendance.  This year, Riverview Middle School scores higher than the state in most areas when it comes to School Climate.  That's right, your kid goes to one of the most safest schools in California, as of this year! This year, 91% of students reported they have no fear of being beaten up at school, versus last year, when 69% reported no fear of being beaten up.  This is an improvement in our students' feeling of safety by 22%.  Also this year, 77% of students state they don't experience harassment at school versus 49% last year.  This is still a growth area, but we are seeing an improvement of 28%.  We also see an improvement of 23% regarding a reduction of mean rumors.  Connectedness to the school improved by 13%  Promotion of parental involvement improved by 11% this year.  Over the past 3 years, we have a reduction by 14% in feelings of being harassed or bullied at school.  Nine percent less students experienced chronic sadness or hopelessness.   You can find the whole   Riverview Middle School Climate Report Card here. The Riverview Middle School Mental Health Report for 2024-2025 also shows huge gains in our students' mental health.  You can see the full report  here.   Chronic sadness in our students dropped from 40% to 21%, showing an improvement of 19%  Consideration of suicide dropped from 18% to 7%, showing an 11% improvement.  Social and Emotional Distress decreased by 22%.  Life Satisfaction improved by 18%.  Optimism improved by 8%.   How did we make such gains in just one year in school climate?  It was my goal for this year, set by Kathy Wright when I first started in July this school year, and I'm glad for it.  I met every other week with my Intervention/COST team to identify which kids needs help.  Indicators or cries for help were low attendance, low grades, high behavior referrals.  We don't punish kids for struggling.  We reach out and find out what they need.  I've been working with non-profits, local businesses, and coaches to get kids' needs met so they can be successful in school.  It's working.   Best Wishes, Vanessa (Ness) Cron Principal

  • 2024-25 Data Confirmation is Open!

Hello River Delta Parents, Prior to the beginning of each school year all parents are asked to log into their  River Delta Aeries Parent Portal  to complete the Back to School packet using the Data Confirmation process in Aeries.   This process is simple, and can be completed on either your personal computer or phone.  Click on the blue link above to login and complete the Data Confirmation process.  After logging in look for the notification below on the lower right of the screen. We sometimes get parents that ask why do I have to do this every  year? Some of the reasons to complete data confirmation are in the list below: 1. Parents cannot be contacted in case of an emergency because contact information is not up-to-date.  2. River Delta school sites will not receive the proper federal and state funding to support Before and After School Programs, Guidance and College Counselors, Free and Reduced Cost Meals, Health and Wellness Services, fee waivers for College Applications and Admissions tests, and resources for classroom teacher and students.  3. Without the proper Data Confirmation Parent Authorization your child/children's photo will not able able to be in the school yearbook. Frequent Questions that parents have concerning Data Confirmation: Question #1:  I do not want to complete the income portion of the Aeries Data Confirmation. Answer:  The Income portion of Data Confirmation is required by the Federal Government.  Upon completion the district cannot view or access the information provided. Question #2:  When I attempted to log in I received a message saying that my login information was incorrect. Answer:  When navigating to the Aeries Parent Portal click on the link  Forgot Password . (See detailed screenshots below) You will then be asked to enter your email address.  After entering your email address click  Next .   Note - If you receive a message that your email is not on file, you will need to contact the school site, so that the correct email can be entered. Next, you will receive an email containing a link that will allow you to change your password. When resetting your password please follow the district password protocol.  The password protocol for new passwords must meet these requirements:   • Must be at least 8 characters long • Must contain at least one capital • Must contain at least one number • Must contain at least one special character (!, @, #, $, %, &, =, +, ?)
