  • Eucharistic Adoration at Central Campus | May Sign-Up

“Adoration means entering the depths of our hearts in communion with the Lord, who makes Himself bodily present in the Eucharist.” - Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI Given the many challenges young people face as they navigate these important years, Holy Family Catholic Schools invites you to support your child(ren) and all students and teachers in a unique and fulfilling way: by praying for them during Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration is offered every Tuesday that school is in session in the Central Campus chapel. But in order to ensure we can offer this opportunity, it is important to have at least one adorer signed up for every half-hour session, from 7:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Individuals may choose to sign up for one or more sessions. We warmly welcome parents, grandparents and others who may wish to pray for our students, staff and school community! How to participate: Adoration sign-ups will be posted each month. Sign-up for one or more adoration session(s) via the sign-up form linked to this post. Join the Eucharistic Adoration Community Group (you'll find it in ParentSquare under Groups) if you would like to receive weekly reminders and updates from Amy Freund. • Let's Make a Splash at Mass for Catholic Schools Week!

Let's Make a Splash at Mass for Catholic Schools Week! National Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, Jan. 30, and we’d like to take this opportunity to show our sincere gratitude to our parish communities who do so much to support our schools.  At Holy Family, the school week begins with Sunday Mass. So, to kick-off Catholic Schools Week, we're asking families to attend Mass on Jan. 29 and 30 wearing your blue and gold to show our school pride and create a strong community presence.  Pastors are also encouraging Holy Family staff, students and parents to sign up for Mass ministries (wearing your blue & gold!) and to participate in after-Mass socials hosted by Holy Family as an expression of gratitude to parishioners. If you can serve at Mass that weekend, please sign-up through your parish. Finally, families from throughout the system will be asked to share a message of gratitude to the parish during each Mass that weekend – If your family would like to speak briefly at Mass,  please sign up using the attached volunteer form and contact Christine McAllister at cmcallister@holyfamilydbq.org for details.  We welcome student, parent, or whole-family presenters!  Thank you.  Catholic  Schools Week is  Jan. 30–Feb. 5, 2022   Join Holy Family in showing appreciation to our supporting parishes by attending Mass in your spirit wear on Jan. 29/30, socializing after Mass, and/or volunteering to present or serve at your parish! Did you know? Our supporting parishes contribute $4.6 million annually to keep tuition affordable! Need Spirit Gear?   Mention this message from now through Catholic Schools Week for a 10% discount at the Golden Eagles Spirit Shop located at Wahlert Catholic High School, 8–3 p.m. weekdays or during home athletic events. Eucharistic Adoration is time spent in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament giving praise and thanks – in silence. During Adoration, the Eucharistic host is exposed, and participants have a conversation with Jesus, pray the rosary or reflect on Scripture or other spiritual readings. As with any form of prayer, Adoration directs us inward, to the joy of a deeper relationship with God, and outward, to a more selfless love of others.
