  • Exciting Events for Fall River Families This Spring

    Our Early Childhood Department is excited to announce two important upcoming events for our students and families. READY FOR KINDERGARTEN Night Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm, Fall River Public Schools is partnering with The Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River to host a special evening for families with children entering kindergarten in September 2026. Starting kindergarten is a big milestone, and we’re here to help families feel confident and prepared. The event will include: Kindergarten registration Free backpacks for all incoming kindergarten students Fun children’s activities A chance to sit in a real school bus   Annual Family Literacy Fair ​ Saturday, May 9, 2026   10:00 AM – 1:00 PM   Spencer Borden Elementary School – Playground Area   1400 President Avenue  (Please park in the lot at 367 Ray Street.) This free, family‑friendly event celebrates literacy, learning, and our community. Every family will receive free books , and there will be activities for children of all ages.  In case of inclement weather, activities will be moved inside the school.
