Dear Parents/Guardians – If you haven’t already done so, log in to your Aeries Parent Portal account to complete your child’s Data Confirmation and re-register them for school today!
There are only 10 weekdays left of Summer break – enjoy them to the fullest and get ready for a wonderful new school year. Here are some important reminders:
Most SJUSD school offices open on Tuesday, July 25th; school starts on Thursday, August 3rd. Please schedule important appointments on no-school days, if possible, in order to disrupt your child's learning as least as possible. Click here for SJUSD's School Year Calendar .
If you allow your child to have a cell phone, please remind them to keep them put away and out of sight (they are allowed for emergency situations only). Please be mindful that cell phone use makes up a portion of student misbehaviors and can be a major distraction to learning . In order to support student learning and positive behavior, if a cell phone is out it will be taken away and the parent/guardian will have to go to the office to pick it up .
Data Confirmation should be done as soon as possible so that your child can be assigned a teacher and/or a class schedule.
Download your ParentSquare app if you haven’t already done so. This method is the easiest and quickest to send/receive all school communication (fliers, news, meeting invites, etc.)
Most Elementary School Back to School Nights are happening on Wednesday, August 2nd but please check your school messages or website for accuracy.
Slowly, start going back to a “normal” sleep and home routine/schedule where students can be off of devices and go to bed early for a good night’s rest. Ensure there are healthy after-school snacks available and time for homework, chores, reading, family time and self-care activities.
For any questions or concerns, please visit your school’s website (click on schools) or contact your child’s school after July 24th. The SJUSD Family Engagement Center is also available to help at 1000 N. Ramona Blvd., San Jacinto, CA 92583/951-929-7329.
