Attendance Matters There are officially less than 3 months left of school this year!!!  “The weather is bad, school starts too early, there is too much traffic, my kid doesn’t have a ride, my kid is not feeling well”, etc.  There seem to be good reasons why letting kids stay home is better or more convenient sometimes, BUT it’s never best for kids when we let them miss school (unless they are sick or there is a true family emergency or crisis).  Data shows that missing school can lead to falling more and more behind in learning, making it difficult for kids to keep up and feel good about school - which then can lead to another whole set of negative consequences in school and in life.  We know it’s not always easy, and we truly appreciate all you do at home to support our students in giving them the best foundation in life - going to school each and every day is a huge part of growing up healthy and ready for a great life.  If you are a parent who is struggling with challenges and need help in supporting your child with daily attendance, please reach out to your school.  Also, look out for Saturday School opportunities happening at all of our schools to help make up your child’s absences.  If you are a parent who is succeeding in this area - you are appreciated and we’re happy for you!!!   Click here to see the rest of this school year’s calendar, including Spring Break, Holidays and the last day of school dates.
