New Traffic Shift in Garysburg
Good afternoon Parents/Guardians and Staff, On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, there will he an upcoming traffic shift along US 158 Highway and NC 46 Highway. There will be a temporary closure of NC 46 Hwy near the Hampton Farms Facility. US 158 Highway traffic will be shifted on onto the new location near Old Highway Road, and the old portion of US 158 will be closed just beyond that point. Traffic will remain in a two-way pattern for approximately 0.5 mile where it will then split into a one-way pattern. Traffic wanting to access US 301 Highway will utilize the new ramps. Traffic will remain in a one-way pattern for approximately 1.4 miles where it will then be shifted back to a two-way pattern and will remain in this pattern all the way to I-95, and this traffic will now be utilizing the east bound lanes of the bypass rather than west bound lanes. Traffic traveling north or south on US 301 will now access US 158 East at the new ramps on US 301. Please see the below maps for clarity on this traffic shift. Also, please plan accordingly with this new shift. Have a great rest of your afternoon!
