Academics December Recap
December 20, 2022 Student Information System Update Infinite Campus The district will be moving to Infinite Campus as our student information system beginning with the 23/24 school year. Infinite Campus is the most widely-used student information system and is full of robust features for students, parents, and teachers. Look for updates as we continue to navigate this transition throughout second semester and into the summer. Cardonex In conjunction with our transition to Infinite Campus, R-III has adopted Cardonex as our scheduling tool. This will make course requests and scheduling a breeze for secondary families and staff. Cardonex and Infinite Campus are two amazing gifts for R-III this holiday season! Teacher Spotlight Amber Walter Amber Walter is a fourth grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary. As a Senior Vanguard member, Mrs. Walter works to uncover ways to raise the level of engagement in her classroom through the use of iPad and other innovative strategies. From integrating GarageBand into her imagery unit to utilizing slow-mo to demonstrate energy transfer, Mrs. Walter is raising the bar on a daily basis! Thoughts from R3 Students LCR3 Elementary Student "I like my teachers, I want them to know they are important." LCR3 Secondary Student "I like that my school has teachers that care about our well-being. It's important to have teachers that care for students, because we need to be cared for to be able to learn and grow in academics."
