Superintendent Update - Budget Video and Deliberativ...
Good afternoon, To assist voters in understanding this year's school budget, we have created a short (10-minute) video that briefly summarizes the warrant articles and important dates coming up. We encourage everyone to participate in the deliberative sessions both for the town and school next week, and remember to vote on March 14! The deliberative sessions are for warrant article explanation, discussion, and possible amendments to the proposed warrant articles. This is a vital part of the overall process. In March, voters will decide whether to approve or fail the proposed warrant articles. I wish to thank Thomas Rup, Christine Vayda, Carly Sanborn, and Jacob Twombly for their help in creating this video! Town Deliberative Session: 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Town Hall School Deliberative Session: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023, at EMHS Allen Gym Voting Day: Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at EMHS Allen Gym I hope you find this budget video helpful and you participate in these upcoming sessions! Sincerely, Bill Furbush Proud Superintendent of Epping Schools

ESD Parent Advisory Meeting
Hello Epping School Community, We want to thank those parents and guardians who were able to join us this morning for our first Parent Advisory Meeting. It was a wonderful experience to sit down and converse about our schools and specifically about Student Conferences and School Safety. We recognize that the timing (and the weather) made it hard for all those who may have wanted to participate to attend; therefore, we recorded our time together and have included it HERE . In addition, we summarized the notes from our time together to give an idea of what was discussed. If you have any thoughts, questions, or feedback, please reach out to Ms. Lizier, Ms. Murphy or Mr. Mazzone. SUMMARY OF MEETING: NOTES Our next Parent Advisory Meeting will be scheduled for the end of January, and the specific date will be communicated with families as soon as we know. In our meeting this morning, we created a list of potential future topics to focus our Parent Advisory Meetings: Safety - communication about what and how Competency Based Information - background knowledge Recognitions - celebrating the growth along the way Please feel free to email one of the Building Administrators if you have a topic you would like added to this list. Thank you for your support and partnership, as always! Grateful and proud, Ms. Lizier, Ms. Murphy, and Mr. Mazzone

Superintendent Update September 9, 2022
Superintendent Update September 9, 2022 Good afternoon, This year we continue to work on building our community, improving communications, and moving our schools forward collaboratively. We all play a role in the development of our schools, and we are in this together. Only together can we build the schools the students of Epping deserve. Trust is the foundation of success! This is a core belief I shared with the Epping Educators this year as part of my opening message. I encourage you to view the opening message ( link ) as it pertains to all of us. Teams need to be built, and our work will only be successful if we trust each other and work together. School Board, community members, parents, Epping Educators, Budget Committee, students, superintendent, and many more play a role in the progress and development of our schools. We will not always agree, but we are in this together and always need to focus on being productive and not destructive. We wish to build Epping Schools and not tear them down! WE ARE EPPING! When you hear the phrase WE ARE EPPING; I wish for you to think about the following: We trust one another We care about one another We support one another We are accountable and hold others accountable We value one another and their voice We listen to each other to understand We wish to accomplish the same goals and need to work as a team to achieve them Our efforts to move our district forward require the whole team to work together. We encourage your participation in Student Advisory Councils, Parent Advisory Councils, Faculty Advisory Councils, Leadership Teams, hiring committees, and other opportunities. The more voices, the better! WE ARE EPPING! We are accomplishing great things and will continue to tackle the challenges ahead of us and any areas we need to improve. Thank you all for your commitment to our schools and our students! Only together will we accomplish great things! For the entire message, please click on the link below! Just in case you have nothing to watch this weekend! Superintendent Furbush Opening 202 2-2023 I am so excited about the work ahead of us and the team I get to tackle it with! Have a great weekend! Sincerely, Bill Furbush Proud Superintendent of Epping Schools

Superintendent Update September 1, 2022
Superintendent Update September 1, 2022 Good afternoon, What a great first week of school! It was so refreshing to have a typical opening to school for the first time in a couple of years! The first week will always have a couple of kinks to work out but thanks to all the hard work and preparations we had an extremely smooth opening this year. I know we have updated many of the parent interfaces, and lunch accounts, and added new things like ParentSquare. All these changes can be frustrating and at times challenging. We hope that these changes will make things smoother and easier for all involved. These changes also set us up to be able to communicate with you in a more timely fashion and updated ways. You will be able to customize your notifications and how you wish to receive school information. I appreciate your understanding as we continue to lay the foundation for better communication going forward. As we begin this year I wish to remind you that there will be many opportunities to be involved with our schools. Be on the lookout for Parent and Student Advisory meetings where your input will help us develop the best schools and programs. Your input is valuable in these important decisions and in determining the direction of our schools! There are always many opportunities to be involved and help out! Together we make our schools great! Please enjoy the extended weekend! Thank you for such a great week and a great start to this wonderful school year. I am excited about the awesome year ahead! Sincerely, Bill Furbush Proud Superintendent of Epping Schools
