Letter regarding After School closure Dear CLES Families, We regret to inform you that starting March 31, 2025 we will no longer be able to offer the After School Care Program due to staffing issues. We will continue to offer enrichment on Friday's from 1:30 - 3:00 but will be unable to continue that program from 3:00-5:00. If you are planning to have your child ride the bus any day of the week, you will need to sign up with transportation. You can find the sign up link by going to the online registration on our website. Scroll down to transportation form and fill out the form there. This form needs to be completed by Wednesday, March 19th, in order for your child to be able to ride the bus starting March 31st. Parent Teacher Conferences April 10 and April 11 Thursday Evening and Friday All Day 2pm – 8pm – Thursday, April 10 8am – 4pm – Friday, April 11 Thursday, April 11 will be early release at 1:30pm. There will be no after care on Thursday and no school or childcare on Friday. Classroom Teachers should be reaching out to schedule conferences at the Elementary School The information and the opt-out form for the Oregon statewide summative tests are attached to the Cobra Tales this week. This applies to only the students that are 3rd through 6th graders. Kinder through 2nd grade do NOT state test. Only if you are opting your student out of state testing, please print, fill out & return the form to the school office. Volunteers needed! Central Linn High School is looking for volunteers to help cover facility personnel shortages by cleaning the High School during swing shift hours. A background check would be needed. Please contact Joni Wixom at the District Office at 541-369-2813 ext. 3238 for more information. ALLERGY ALERT Our school is a Maple and Squash free zone. (All squash including Pumpkin and Zucchini) Due to allergies, all maple flavored or scented items and all pumpkin/ squash/ zucchini items are not allowed in the Elementary including in student lunches. These can cause life-threating reactions. If in doubt, call the office to check if it ok. Thank you for helping make our Elementary School safe for everyone. Flu and Cold Season Flu and Cold Season is here. Please remind students to wash their hands and not to share drinks. Please keep students home if they have a fever (100.3), vomiting or diarrhea. Students may return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without medications or 48 hours without vomiting or diarrhea. Cobra Tales are Digital The Cobra Tales are monthly menus are sent through Parent Square. If you would like a paper copy of the Cobra Tales or Menus, please notify the office. We encourage families to donate fuzzy, warm socks, gloves or scarves. Students can simply hang them on in the tree. These will be given to Sharing Hands for Their Christmas Greeters. We can't wait to see how our tree will look and the impact we can have on our community. Title 1 and Parent Survey Results – Dec 12 Mr. Sauter will be sharing about Title 1 and the Parent survey results on Thursday, December 12 at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. We hope to see you there. Book Fair - December 16-20 The Winter Book Fair will be open at lunch every day and we are working on having it open one day after school as well. We need volunteers to help set up and work during the Book Fair! If you would like to help, please text Dora at 541-405-9100. You can also let Rachael in the office know. LOST and Found has grown out of control! We have an overabundance of coats and other miscellaneous clothing in our lost and found. Please stop by the school and look. Please encourage your students to look. We will be donating the Lost and Found items over Christmas Break. Spirit Week - December 16-20 Dec 16 – Monday - Holiday Hat Day Dec 17 – Tuesday - Ugly Sweater Day Dec 18 – Wednesday - Whoville Day- Crazy hair & wacky clothes / Dress like a Who. Dec 19 – Thursday - Winter colors: green, red & white Dec 20 – Friday – Pajama Day Unfortunately, the winter concert for the Kinder, 1st and 2nd grades has been cancelled.
