The Back to School Kick Off is TOMORROW!
Our Back to School Kick Off & Backpack Giveaway is Tomorrow! This event is a great chance to get ready to return to school with games, prizes, and even a backpack and supply giveaway. Make sure your student is prepared for the year and connect with school staff and community partners who can help support you all year long! *backpacks and supplies will only be available to students enrolled in Southern Kern Unified School District for the 2026-2027 academic year while supplies last. students must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian listed in school contacts.* If you cannot attend the event on the 3rd, backpacks and supplies will be available in the Southern Kern Unified Parent and Community center the August 4th-8th from 9:30am-5:00pm (closed 1:00pm-2:00pm for lunch) while supplies last. Sports Physicals
Hello, Dr. Tony Smith will by doing sports physicals at Rosamond High School in the old cafeteria on Wednesday July 15th from 6pm-8pm. Athletes from Tropico Middle School and Rosamond High School are eligible to attend. Cost is $25 cash for each athlete. Best Regards, SKUSD

Opening Friday- Southern Kern Unified School Distric...
We are thrilled to announce that this Friday, July 10th we will be opening the Southern Kern Unified School District Parent and Community Center Food Pantry in the Parent and Community Center ! This resource is available to all families with students currently enrolled in the district. After opening day, please call ahead to make an appointment at (661) 256-5000 ext. 1215 to ensure someone is in and able to assist you. Our available appointment hours are Monday - Friday from 9:30am-4:30pm. Families can receive food once a month while supplies last. Please note we will be unable to accommodate any appointments before the pantry is officially open (July 10th) or outside of our stated appointment hours. Thank you!
