  • Early Dismissal

    SISD Parents and Staff,   The weather forecast has been inconsistent and it appears that another possible band of snow could come through between now and the regular dismissal time.  The winds are supposed to be over 20 mph as well, meaning visibility will be an issue.  For these reasons, SISD will dismiss an hour early today.  If your child is a bus rider, please call the appropriate campus and let the secretary/principal know if you want your child to ride the bus or if you do not want your child to ride the bus (we do not want a child to be dropped off and not be able to get inside).    Due to road conditions and cold temperatures, SISD will operate on a 2-hour delayed start Tuesday (1-21-25).      Paul Uttley

  • 2-Hour Delay

  • Late Start 1-10-25

    SISD Parents and Staff, While we have not received a lot of snow, the streets are very slippery.  SISD will have a 2-hour delayed start tomorrow morning (1-10-25) to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  My hope is that by providing this information early this evening, our parents will have time to make appropriate arrangements.  Thank you and stay safe.     Paul Uttley

  • Friday's Game

    SISD Parents and Staff,   Friday's football game against Farwell has been changed to 5:30 pm on Friday based on weather concerns and Farwell's ability to travel home safely.  While moving the time of a varsity game is not ideal, SISD has agreed to this change due to concerns related to the safety of all those traveling from Farwell.      Paul Uttley

  • Schedule for School Offices

    SISD Parents, The teachers and staff will be back next week to prepare for the upcoming school year.  I have listed the dates/times when the school offices will be open between August 8th and August 13th.   1.  August 5th- All campus offices will be open from 8:00-9:30.  At 9:30, all offices will be closed for the rest of the day to allow teachers and staff to attend meetings.   2.  August 6th, 7th and 8th- All campus offices will be open from 8:00-4:00.   3.  August 9th- All campus offices will be open from 8:00-10:00 and 1:00-4:00.  The offices will be closed from 10:00-1:00 on the 9th.   4.  August 12th and 13th- All campus offices will be open from 8:00-4:00.   Thank you.   Paul Uttley

  • PTO

    SISD Parents and Staff, I am thrilled to announce that we have a group of parents who would like to start a Parent Teacher Organization for SISD (Pre-K through 12th grade).  The attached flyer gives information about the initial meeting that will describe the process of starting the PTO.  After the information about the PTO, there will be an additional meeting related to how the school, parents and community can work together to support all of our students in a positive manner.  This is an exciting time for SISD and shows once again why Stratford is a special place to live, work and raise a family.  I hope to see you on the 6th.   Paul Uttley

  • Tonight's Games

    SISD Family, Just a reminder that we will not be charging admission to get into this evening's games.  All money collected, through your donations,  will be given to the family of Mr. Wright, the Dalhart High School principal who passed away this week.  Our friends at Duncan Chevrolet (Stratford) and Hart Chevrolet (Dalhart) have offered to match whatever funds are collected this evening.  Let's show up this evening and bless this family that has gone through a terrible tragedy.  Thank you to Duncan and Hart Chevrolet for such a generous show of support to the Wright family.   Paul Uttley

  • Friday Night

    SISD Parents, Staff and Students, We will not charge admission for the games against WT High tomorrow night.  Instead, we are asking you to consider donating what you would typically pay to get into the games, to the family of the Dalhart principal who passed away this week.  All money collected tomorrow night will be given to his wife to support her, and her family, during this time.  I think this is a very simple way that we can show the support of the Elk community to our friends in Dalhart.  Thank you.   • 2-Hour Delay

    SISD Parents and Staff, While the general road conditions are better this morning than yesterday morning, there are still pockets of heavy fog in some areas.  Out of an abundance of caution, SISD will operate on a 2-hour delayed start this morning (9:55 at MAE and 10:00 for SJH/SHS).  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this decision is being made to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  We will not count students tardy this morning so please take your time and be safe.  Breakfast will not be served at any of our campuses this morning.   Paul Uttley
