HAPPY FRIDAY, HACHIE! We hope you have a great weekend! It's Black History Month, and we are reflecting on all that these individuals have contributed to WISD through the years! We thank them for the thousands of lives they have impacted! WISD has some exciting changes in the way we choose to distribute non-school literature (informational flyers from non-profit partners) to our families! If you'd like to be "in the know" for upcoming community events, programs, activities, or information offered by our community partners, be sure to join the new ParentSquare Group "Non-School Literature Distribution" by clicking THIS LINK. By joining the group, approved materials from local non-profit partners will show up in your newsfeed in the same way posts from classroom teachers or campus administration would. While in the past we asked each organization that wished to share with WISD families to print 50 paper copies per campus, we are updating this practice to allow for digital distribution of flyers via ParentSquare. Be sure to join the group to stay informed! Have you had a GREAT experience with a Waxahachie ISD staff member? We want to celebrate them! Please give us the details below, and we will choose staff members to recognize monthly via our social media channels. Thank you for recognizing our amazing staff! Click here to access the link: https://rb.gy/it5whu We are so excited as a district to have this resource for our staff, students, and their families! Care Solace exists to connect you to mental health and substance use providers, and we are grateful for their partnership to bring this to our WISD families!
