    ​​​​​ Happy Saturday, WISD! Last night we had our first home football game, and it was our GOLD OUT game where we honor our students and their families who have battled childhood cancer! We are grateful for the efforts made by so many in our community including: the City of Waxahachie, the Waxahachie Chamber, the Waxahachie Downtown Merchants, Waxahachie Baseball, the Cherokee Charmers, Waxahachie Cheer, Indian Football, Quarterback Club, the Tee Pee at Lumpkins, elementary art teachers, and all the Athletics and maintenance staff who work so hard for us every day! WE THANK YOU!! We also had a HUGE HACHIE WIN!!! We are so proud of our boys who fought hard and got the W!!  Incredible photos by Sherry Pate!   What is "Gold Out"?? Gold Out is when one of our home football games in September is committed to recognizing our WISD families who have battled or are still battling childhood cancer. The entire month of September is dedicated to these families as we raise awareness for the most under-funded type of cancer. Come on out and support our Champions!     ​​​​​ We finished our first full week, WISD! We are excited and ready for all of our athletics, fine arts, and academic events to begin! Our students are the BEST, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish this school year! The big GOLD OUT game is on September 4th this year, so order your shirts NOW, and help us spread the word!
