There will be a silent auction for solar panels, a battery, and installation at this weekend's Resilience Fair. See below for more information. Volunteering We can't tell you how much we appreciate volunteers at Trinidad School! Volunteers make it possible for us to take off campus adventures and field trips, and share their knowledge, expertise and passions with students in the classroom. Please read our volunteer handbook on the school website HERE. We have some guidelines in place to make field trips and classroom volunteering run smoothly and safely for all involved. Some handbook highlights: All volunteers must have a background check on file with the office. Chaperones may not bring other children (including siblings) on field trips. Anyone wishing to drive must submit proof of insurance, a valid driver's license, and a clean DMV driving record. Carpool Opportunity Looking to carpool to and/or from school this year? We've set up this carpool signup sheet so Trinidad families can connect with one another. Feel free to add your information if you're offering rides, looking for a ride, or both! Please note that families are responsible for arranging carpools and communicating directly with one another. The district does not monitor this document or endorse any drivers, so please use your own judgment when choosing carpool partners. • October 2 Dragon Digest

Dragon Digest Trinidad School Newsletter October 2, 2026 Dragon Assembly! Today was our first Dragon Assembly of the year! Dragon Assemblies are a time where we gather as a school community to recognize students who show exemplary kindness, responsibility, and positivity. The Trinidad Civic Club recognized Harriet for the citizenship award. Harriet is a joy to everyone who knows her. She is always kind and ready to help her friends in class. Harriet is a model student who takes the initiative to make sure she has what she needs to complete her study whether that is silent headphones or asking for support from her teacher. She is positive, exceedingly creative, innovative, witty and always a respectful, responsible person. We look forward to a dynamic year continuing to know Harriet. Asa, Hano, Barry, and Ryder were recognized for their fantastic recess citizenship. Remy won the Green Tray Award and Vivian was recognized for citizenship in the library. Griff, Alyvia, Alex, Callen, Lili, Noah, Jarahlyn, and Malcolm were our Dragon Drawing winners this month. Thank you to PTO for hosting monthly popcorn parties after each Dragon Assembly, and to McKinleyville Ace for donating the popcorn bags!
