Warsaw Night with the Fort Wayne Komets- Vote for Yo...
Warsaw Community Schools families are invited to join the 8th annual Warsaw Night with the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. when the Komets take on the Indy Fuel. This is always a fun night for our community, and this year there is an exciting opportunity for elementary students! A contest is currently underway where the winning Warsaw elementary school will select four students for special experiences during the game: Two students and a parent/guardian will sit in the penalty box during warmups Two students (age 6+) will ride the Zamboni during intermission All four students will join the Mayor on the ice for the ceremonial puck drop How to vote for your school: Like the City of Warsaw's Facebook page Tag your favorite Warsaw elementary school in the comments of their contest post Voting ends March 11, and the winning school will be announced shortly after. Opportunity to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters with...
Our School Resource Officers play an important role in building relationships with students across Warsaw Community Schools. On March 8, several of our SROs will be participating in Bowl for Kids’ Sake , a fundraiser benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. All funds raised stay right here in Kosciusko County and directly support mentoring programs for local students and families. Our officers Lewis Fuller, Joel Popenfoose, and Jordan Roberts are bowling as a team called The Pigskin Patrol. Happy Tiger Tuesday! We are excited to announce our #WarsawUnites recipient... Cathy Suhany Warsaw Community Schools At a recent WCS Board Meeting, we had the privilege of honoring Cathy Suhany for reaching an incredible milestone of 40 years in education, (including 36 years of dedicated service at Warsaw Community Schools)! As one of our School Psychologists, Cathy has supported countless students, families, and staff. She is always willing to jump in to fill gaps wherever needed and demonstrates what it means to be a team player. We are so grateful for her. THEATRE SUMMER CAMP: WONKA JR!
Warsaw Theatre SUMMER CAMP IS BACK! Created for kids to learn new skills, meet new friends and have a lot of fun! The campers will work on singing, dancing and acting skills. At the end of the week, the campers will put on a production of Willy Wonka Jr. on the Warsaw Performing Arts Center stage. Each camper will receive a role in the show, souvenir t-shirt, access to music and rehearsal tracks, 2 free tickets to the performance and a digital download of the show. (please register with the email address you would like the video sent to). WILLY WONKA JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka, as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory....or suffer the consequences. AGE: Students going into 2nd through 8th grades in the fall; Students from ANY school can attend! COST: $175 (30/Day) Includes: Show T-Shirt, a Role in the show, a script, access to music and rehearsal tracks, a digital download of the show, and 2 free tickets to the performance. DATES: JULY 13 - 17 9:00am - 4:00pm. JULY 18 9:00am - 8:00pm (Dinner provided) PERFORMANCE JULY 18 at 7:00pm. Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle to camp each day. ADDITIONAL TICKETS to Final Performance : $10 (can be purchased online or at the door) DISCOUNTS : Scholarships are limited and based on financial need. Habitat for Humanity Home Repair Program Opens Monda...
Warsaw Community Schools families, We want to share a resource that may be helpful to homeowners in our community! Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County is launching a new Home Repair Program designed to help low- to moderate-income homeowners make critical, non-emergency repairs to their primary residence. This program focuses specifically on: • Roof replacement • HVAC system replacement, with priority given to furnace replacements The goal is to help families stay in their homes long term and keep them healthy, safe and affordable. Applications will be accepted March 2 through March 13. Habitat only opens applications 1–2 times per year, so interested homeowners are encouraged to apply during this window. Supporting WCS Students and Families Through Superma...
Families, you're invited to join us TOMORROW (February 18 from 9am-10:30pm) at Kroger for the annual Supermarket Sweep as we work together to fill the shelves with non-perishable food and baby items! The purchased items will not only directly support WCS students, but will also support: • Combined Community Services • The Salvation Army • Heartline Pregnancy Center Simply purchase a few items (shopping list is attached and will be provided at the door) while you shop, and leave them at the tables to be delivered directly to those in need. The best part is that you can bring the kids along! There will be special kids activities from 4-6 PM to make it a meaningful experience for the whole family. Together, we can help ensure WCS students and families have the support they need!

Happy Tiger Tuesday! We are excited to announce our #WarsawUnites recipient... Our Six School Resource Officers Warsaw Community Schools Last week, we had the privilege of recognizing our School Resource Officers for their outstanding service and dedication to Warsaw Community Schools. With School Resource Officer Appreciation taking place this weekend, the timing was especially meaningful. These officers serve across all 13 of our buildings and have received numerous nominations from staff and students who appreciate the positive impact they make each day. Beyond ensuring safety, our SROs build meaningful relationships with students, mentor them, support staff, and serve as trusted role models in our schools.
