Speaker Series Visit: Boys in the Boat

Next week, we will be hosting Judy Willman, daughter of Olympian Joe Rantz from "The Boys in the Boat," as part of our annual WCS Speaker Series. Judy will share her father’s incredible Olympic journey and the role that previous Warsaw students played in preserving his legacy. Students will also learn about the 1936 Olympics and the Great Depression. Judy, along with her daughter Jennifer (who will also be attending), were instrumental in bringing the book to life, which later inspired the film. WCS 5th graders (morning of September 11), along with groups of 7th, 8th, and 9th graders (morning of September 12), will participate in convocations at the WCHS Performing Arts Center.  In the afternoons, several high school and middle school classes will engage in creative writing workshops and history lessons focusing on life during the Depression, the 1936 Olympics and the events leading to World War II. Happy Tiger Tuesday! #WarsawInspires 🐅

​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​   ​ ​ ​ ​ #WarsawInspires Feature of the Week ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Spotlight: Michele White ​ We had the privilege of surprising and recognizing Mrs. White, the assistant principal at Lakeview Middle School, for the inspiration she brings every day. She had 3 nominations for the Inspire Award and we were able to have one of the students, WCHS Junior Layla Stanford, join us to surprise her! Layla shared, "Mrs. White inspires me every day to do my best. She inspires me to try my hardest to believe in myself at all times, even when sometimes doesn't seem possible. She helps me realize that is always possible." Another student shared, "Mrs white has taught me a lot of unforgettable learning moments. She told me that everyone learns at different times and different rates. It made me realize that there is nothing wrong with how slow I learn." Upcoming Cheer Block Themes for SYM Zone

We're excited to announce that SYM Financial is once again covering the cost of all-sport passes for every 9th-12th grade student at WCHS! Thanks to this amazing partnership, we hope to PACK the "SYM Zone" at home games. For upcoming football games, the Cheer Block Leadership Team has selected the following themes for the SYM Zone. Temporary WCHS Pool Closure

As a heads up, the Warsaw Community High School pool is temporarily closed while the roof decking is being replaced.  We are working to complete this project as quickly as possible and will update you once the pool is ready for community & school use again.

Important Dates: Back-to-School Nights and Building ...

We hope you're having a wonderful summer! As we prepare for the upcoming school year (first day- August 9!), we wanted to share some important dates and information with you. We also want to remind you to register your students as soon as possible if you haven't already. This ensures they are added to the correct classes before the first day. You can register your students here:  Warsaw Schools Registration .  All Elementary Buildings Back-to-School Night : August 8th, 4:00-5:00 PM Schedules Posted : At Back-to-School Night School Supply Lists can be found here: Elementary Supply Lists Lakeview Middle School Back-to-School Night : August 13th, 6:00-7:30 PM Schedules Posted : Schedules should be available for students to view by 7/29/24. Building Open for Walk-Throughs : Please enter the building through Door 13 “Trophy Hallway” on the south side of the building.
