    ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Submit a Nomination Here! ​ ​ ​ ​   ​ ​ ​ ​ #WarsawInspires Feature of the Week ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Spotlight: JoElla Hauselman ​ For this Tiger Tuesday, we’re excited to recognize JoElla Hauselman, Principal of Edgewood Middle School, for her incredible commitment to our schools and community. JoElla is the driving force behind “Together We Feed Them All,” a district-wide initiative to provide food to more than 350 families during winter break. This incredible effort was launched alongside parent and community partners like Jeri Purdy, Kearstin Criswell, the LovEd network of local churches and dedicated WCS staff. Special thanks to Edgewood teacher Tammy Adamiec, who is overseeing food collection and box distribution, Facilities Director Jim LeMasters, who is managing logistics and purchasing food from local stores, the transportation department and bus drivers for picking up food from WCS buildings and MANY MORE! This initiative is about more than providing meals—it’s about filling our community with hope. This summer, Mila raised $200 through her lemonade stand, with the goal of helping pay for school lunches for kids in need. Her hard work selling lemonade and chocolate chip cookies will cover 75 student lunches at Jefferson. Mila shared, “I felt excited because it helps those who need a lunch.” Mila has been using her lemonade stand to make a difference for the past three years, donating to causes such as the Animal Welfare League and the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. Thank you, Mila.   • Warsaw Tigers Football State Championship Send-Off

    The Warsaw Tigers are heading to the IHSAA 5A State Championship! After an unforgettable season, the Tigers will face Decatur Central on Saturday, November 30, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and we encourage our entire community to join us in cheering on the team. Send-Off Celebration Join us as we send off our Tigers in style! The team will depart Warsaw Community High School on Saturday, November 30, at 12:15 p.m. The route will go: Down Logan Street Onto Winona Avenue To Columbia Street Onto C enter Street Finishing down Buffalo Street Bring your Tiger pride, signs, and cheers as we rally behind our team! (Route map attached.) State Championship Game Details Date: Saturday, November 30, 2024 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis Tickets:  $15 per person (children five and younger are free). Tickets are valid for all three sessions on Saturday. All seats are general admission—arrive early to secure your spot! Mobile tickets only —printed tickets will not be used. Purchase in advance via Ticketmaster.com or the Ticketmaster mobile app.  Clear Bag Policy: Lucas Oil Stadium adheres to a clear bag policy. Visit their website for full details. Please Note: Lucas Oil is a cashless venue. Please plan accordingly!  Banners, posters, and live animal mascots are not permitted.     Winter weather is officially here, so let’s talk about snow days! If WCS needs to delay or cancel school, here’s when you'll be notified:  On a normal day : Delay/closure decisions will be announced no later than 5:45 a.m. Following a delay : If schools will close after a delay, the decision will be made no later than 7:45 a.m. PLC (late-start Monday) adjustments : Decisions will be announced no later than 6:30 a.m. A delay on a PLC day (late-start Monday) will follow the normal 2-hour delay schedule .
