Passage of the 2024 Bond, THANK YOU!
2024 Bond Measure Update Dear Redmond School District Community, We are thrilled to report that Redmond School District voters have approved the passage of the district’s $97.7 million bond measure with a 52.2% yes rating! Thank you to our community for your generous support and commitment to our schools. From our own staff members, PAC volunteers, elected officials to the thousands of parents who rallied for this bond, we express our deepest thanks. With this investment, we can make vital improvements across the district that not only address today’s needs but also help preserve and maintain our facilities for future generations. As Redmond continues to grow, these upgrades will ensure that our schools remain safe, welcoming, and well-equipped for both current and future students. With the passage of this bond we can now make investments and repairs to all 13 district schools as well as the critical HVAC issue at Redmond High School. Together, we are building safer environments for learning that will serve our students, staff, and community for years to come. This bond represents not only an investment in today’s students but a legacy that will continue to support Redmond’s future. Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process and contributed to this significant milestone for our district. In the coming months the District will be forming a Bond Oversight Committee, a volunteer committee of citizens that provide oversight in ensuring bond dollars are spent as approved by the voters. Please stay tuned as we will announce the application for that committee. You can follow the progress of bond projects for each school online at www.RedmondSchoolBond.org. On behalf of the students and staff that we serve, we thank you for your continued support of Redmond School District. Thank you, Dr. Charan Cline Superintendent

Dry Canyon Arts Association’s Fall Art Show & Sale F...
Dry Canyon Arts Association has a big goal: to jumpstart art education for every elementary school child in Redmond. For the past few years, Dry Canyon Arts Association (or DCAA) has offered an art education project to one or two elementary schools each year, largely funded through their semi-annual art show raffles. But this year, DCAA has taken it upon itself, through a new initiative called Jumpstart Art, to provide art education to every elementary school child in Redmond. Jumpstart Art’s goal is to provide a three- to five-class art project to each Redmond elementary school student through an artist-in-residence program. Art projects will be coordinated with each school and designed to complement the class curriculum. As the cost of such an undertaking dwarfs any such fund-raising project attempted by DCAA in the past, DCAA board members have pursued grant funding as well as relied on the community spirit of Redmond citizens and businesses to fill in the rest. One popular funding source is DCAA’s semi-annual art show raffle. “DCAA members have been more than generous in the past couple years by donating some absolutely priceless pieces of art to our raffle,” said Jay Lowndes, DCAA events chair. “This year the art pieces are above and beyond. Our artists have really stepped up because they know their donations are going to help the kids.” Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during the DCAA Art Show and Sale, Saturday and Sunday, November 16th and 17th. Art Show goers will be able to choose which art items they wish to win should their raffle ticket be pulled. Art donated for the raffle include art prints, original art pieces, fused glass, wood carvings, photography, jewelry, and more. All proceeds will go to Dry Canyon’s Jumpstart Art program to fund art education in elementary schools. This November 16th and 17th, the Dry Canyon Arts Association is putting their mission of art education front and center again at the Fall Art Show & Sale at the Redmond High School Commons. At last spring’s art show, more than 35 high school artists showed and sold their drawings, paintings and pottery to a steady stream of community art lovers. This fall, the area at the front of the commons will again be reserved for Redmond’s finest high school artists. DCAA members are looking forward to seeing the 2024-2025 school year’s young artists and creators reveal their newest works at the show which runs Saturday November 16th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, November 17th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Important Information on the 2024 Proposed Bond for ...
Good evening, I hope this message finds you well. If you have already attended your school's open house this past week or have one scheduled for the upcoming week, we wanted to ensure you have accurate information regarding the 2024 proposed bond for the Redmond School District. The proposed bond represents the second phase of a two-part construction program aimed at making long-term repairs and expanding opportunities for students within our district. If passed, this bond would continue the current estimated tax rate. One critical issue addressed by this bond is the 50-year-old HVAC hydronic pipes at Redmond High School. These systems are currently leaking and could fail catastrophically within the next five years. Such a failure could lead to flooding and exposure to toxic asbestos. To view the proposed bond projects for each individual school, please follow this link: Proposed Bond Projects . Thank you for taking the time to learn more. It’s crucial that every parent and community member is informed about this important measure. If you have any questions, please contact the district office. Best regards, Logan McGinnis Public Information Officer
