Amphi News October 2024 Governing Board Meeting Round-Up 8 Things to Know from the October Meetings Superintendent Todd Jaeger shared photos of activities in schools around the district. The Board declared the third Friday of November as "School District Substitute Employee Day.” Read the Board resolution here. Thank you to all of our subs! Rich LaNasa, Executive Manager of Operational Support presented to the Board an annual review of projects funded by bond monies, capital improvement projects, building renewal and adjacent ways. Matt Munger, Associate Superintendent for Secondary Education, explained weighted and unweighted courses and student grade-point average (GPA) calculations. Learn more by clicking here. The Board adopted an Annual Financial Report (AFR). Read more here. Did you know? The Facilities Support Services department maintains 2.8 million square feet of buildings. The team maintains 505 acres of property. They process 7,500 service requests each year. They complete more than 1,000 preventative maintenance work orders per year. School Safety Info Session Superintendent Todd Jaeger held a School Safety Information Session for families in September to share information about safety in the Amphitheater District. The Superintendent invited families to submit questions in advance of the session so that he could address specific concerns. He also took questions at the end of the webinar. Find a recording of the Information Session and a school safety FAQ by clicking here. Copper Creek Hawk Walk Copper Creek Elementary School held its annual Hawk Walk fundraiser last month. In its 16th year, the Hawk Walk provides a fun way for students to get involved in their school. Bond and Override Information The Amphitheater District's Governing Board has called for bond and override elections to support continued maintenance of school and District facilities, enhance school safety, keep pace with technology needs and keep in place funding that finances full-day kindergarten and core educational opportunities for students in all grades. The cost to taxpayers of renewing the bond and continuing the override is a net sum of zero. Each year, fifth-graders from our elementary schools visit their future high schools to get a sneak peek at the opportunities they will have in their own high school experience a few years in the future. Parent Portal for Registration, Grades, Meal Management, Etc. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal is a must-have this school year! This is where you will register your student and find information such as schedules, attendance, grades, etc. If you have not signed up for the portal, please contact your school’s front office.
