With the continued impact of rising costs on family budgets, several assistance programs are available to help Madison County residents. If you live in Madison County please take a moment to read this information.   The attached flyers provide information about the 2026 Farm Fresh Food Program, which helps eligible households access fresh, healthy foods, and a school supply assistance program that provides qualifying families with a $105 voucher for school-age children to purchase supplies from Oneida Office Supply. Please review the flyers for income guidelines and application details, and share this information with anyone who may benefit. This information has been provided by Madison County, if you live in a different county, please check with your county for assistance opportunities.

DeRuyter CSD Budget Vote Results and Board of Educat...

Good evening DeRuyter CSD families and staff, Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in today’s school budget vote and Board of Education election. Community involvement and support are such an important part of our school district, and we are grateful for the continued engagement of our DeRuyter community. The results are as follows: Budget and Propositions Proposition No. 1 (School Budget): 160 Yes | 20 No Proposition No. 2 (Bus Proposition): 142 Yes | 37 No Proposition No. 3 (Library Contribution): 161 Yes | 19 No Proposition No. 4 (Recreation Youth Program): 159 Yes | 21 No Board of Education Election The two open Board of Education seats were filled by: Daniel Degear — 150 votes Jodi Weising — 151 votes Congratulations to Daniel and Jodi, and thank you for your willingness to serve our school community. We also want to sincerely thank our Board of Education members, our Business Official, Amanda Graham-Quirk, and the entire business office team for the tremendous amount of work that goes into developing a thoughtful and responsible budget. We are also grateful to our district office staff and poll workers who helped make the evening run smoothly. Most importantly, thank you to our community for your continued support of the students, staff, and programs of DeRuyter Central School District. We look forward to continuing our work together on behalf of our students and school community. Have a wonderful evening.

2026-2027 PreK and Kindergarten Registration- NOW OPEN!

All children turning  4  on or before December 1, 2026 who live in DeRuyter Central School District are eligible to enroll in pre-kindergarten, and all children turning  5  on or before December 1, 2026 are eligible to enroll in *kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.   PreK and kindergarten programs are full day, 5 days a week.  Breakfast and lunch are free to all DCS students.   Students  4 years and older  are eligible to receive bus transportation.  Parents and guardians are invited to call (315) 852- 3400 x7204 with questions and to request an enrollment packet.  Come learn with us! *Students currently enrolled as PreK students do not need to register again for kindergarten.

2026- 2027 PreK Meet & Greet

Join us for a PreK Meet & Greet! Wednesday, March 18th 5:30- 6pm  PreK Classroom (Room 121) Meet other incoming Rockets and families and the PreK Team!  Children turning 4 on or before December 1st, 2026 are eligible to enroll in our 2026-2027 PreK Program.  This event is also a great opportunity to drop off or pick up registration paperwork.  We hope you can join us!
