Pendergast Elementary School District will be offering healthy meals to all students at no cost every school day in School Year 2024­­-2025 Your child(ren) will receive free breakfast and lunch meals every school day without having to pay a fee or submit a household application. Your child(ren)’s school is approved to operate Community Eligibility Provision No further action is required of you. Simply choose the activity of interest, click on the link, and complete the registration form. A PFRC team member will email and text confirmation of class participation on the Friday prior to the week of your chosen activity. Due to high interest in classes, we do maintain a waitlist for most classes. We do experience cancellations and often offer availability to families for our waitlist. All Pendergast friends and families are invited to join the Pendergast Foundation on October 26th from 9-11:30am for a fun filled morning of fall festival booths, prize drawings and color fun! Some activities require a small fee.  Concessions available.   Ticket price includes shirt, color fun admission and prize drawings.  $2 from every ticket goes back to the participating school clubs and PTA/PTO organizations .

Pendergast District Community Connection Weekly News...

  In her September message, Dr. Jennifer Cruz proudly celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Hispanic community. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing and appreciating the diversity that strengthens our school community. Dr. Cruz also highlights the critical role that regular school attendance plays in student success. She encourages families and students to prioritize attendance, reminding us that every day in the classroom is a step toward a brighter future. Let’s work together to ensure our students reach their full potential! Support the 8th Grade Superintendent's Student Council 23 amazing 8th graders from across the district make-up the Pendergast 8th Grade Superintendent’s Student Council. The Council is all about preparing the students for the future, exploring high school opportunities and beyond, and building skills like leadership, presentation, and teamwork. They are also involved in many service projects in our District and community throughout the year including the Kindergarten Pillows for Kiddos project. Right now, the Council is raising funds to support student travel, leadership opportunities, and other amazing experiences during the 8th grade year. Each member has been challenged to collect 20 donations in 20 days . These donations can be made in the form of a Tax Credit Online | Tax Credit Form or through  Square Online . SUN bucks benefits for eligible families will expire soon. The “SUN Bucks” (or Summer EBT) program is a federal benefits program which provides $120 per child in grocery assistance to qualifying families with school-aged children during the summer. Eligible families with a current EBT card received the funds on their EBT card in June. Families who didn’t currently have an EBT card but are in qualifying programs received a new card in the mail in July.   SUN Bucks benefits must be used within 122 days from the day the benefits were added to your SUN Bucks account. When you donate items to the Big Brother Big Sister collection bins that are located on each Pendergast District campus, we're collecting items for others in need while raising funds for the Council's annual trip, Pillows for Kiddos, and more! Starting Monday, August 19 , students will be able to purchase Smart Snack compliant snacks from the snack bar. * Please check with your child's school to see which grade levels will have access to the snack bar.   All students have an existing food service account with LINQ payment systems where funds can be deposited online or at the point of sale in the cafeteria. All snack bar transactions will be recorded for your review on either the App or website. Change will not be given back to students.
