Free Breakfast & Lunch for Students Throughout the 2024-25 School Year! Children need healthy meals to learn. Pendergast Elementary School District will be offering healthy meals to all students at no cost every school day in School Year 2024-2025 Your child(ren) will receive free breakfast and lunch meals every school day without having to pay a fee or submit a household application. Your child(ren)’s school is approved to operate Community Eligibility Provision No further action is required of you. In order to keep class size manageable, registration is required for most activities. Monthly calendars have links to registration forms. Simply choose the activity of interest, click on the link, and complete the registration form. A PFRC team member will email and text confirmation of class participation on the Friday prior to the week of your chosen activity. Due to high interest in classes, we do maintain a waitlist for most classes. We do experience cancellations and often offer availability to families for our waitlist. In her September message, Dr. Jennifer Cruz proudly celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Hispanic community. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing and appreciating the diversity that strengthens our school community. Dr. Cruz also highlights the critical role that regular school attendance plays in student success. She encourages families and students to prioritize attendance, reminding us that every day in the classroom is a step toward a brighter future. Let’s work together to ensure our students reach their full potential! Support the 8th Grade Superintendent's Student Council 23 amazing 8th graders from across the district make-up the Pendergast 8th Grade Superintendent’s Student Council. The Council is all about preparing the students for the future, exploring high school opportunities and beyond, and building skills like leadership, presentation, and teamwork. They are also involved in many service projects in our District and community throughout the year including the Kindergarten Pillows for Kiddos project. Right now, the Council is raising funds to support student travel, leadership opportunities, and other amazing experiences during the 8th grade year. Each member has been challenged to collect 20 donations in 20 days . These donations can be made in the form of a Tax Credit Online | Tax Credit Form or through Square Online .
