March 2025 Around Finley Schools
Around Finley Schools March 2025 The proposed replacement EP&O Levy would be collected over a two-year period in 2026 and 2027, following the end of the current levy in 2025 . The estimated tax rates are: $1.89 /$1,000 of assessed value in 2026 $1.99 /$1,000 of assessed value in 2027 These proposed rates are a near match for what taxpayers are currently paying with the existing EP&O levy it will replace ($1.70 per thousand). April 22 - Replacement EP&O Levy The Finley School Board of Directors has proposed a replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) levy on the April 22, 2025, ballot to replace the existing levy expiring in 2025. The EP&O levy funds learning programs and services not fully funded by the state, including athletics, staffing and student support, maintenance and operations, and more. Even with the passage of the replacement EP&O levy, Finley School District will still have a $1 million budget shortfall. If voters do not approve the April 2025 replacement EP&O levy, the district will instead need to identify approximately $2 million dollars of budget reductions. Learn more about the replacement levy at www.finleysd.org/district/levies . Please remember to vote and return your ballot by Tuesday, April 22! Ballots should arrive in mailboxes around April 4.
