District Newsletter September 29, 2025 IN THIS ISSUE: Dry Creek Launches Bullying Prevention Campaign STOPit Anonymous Reporting App Here Today, Ready for Tomorrow - Attendance Awareness Month Wrap-up The Wednesday Wave Recap All Dry Creek Schools Now Honored with PBIS Awards We Are Hiring! Dry Creek Launches Bullying Prevention Campaign October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Dry Creek is launching a month-long campaign to raise awareness about what bullying is and the different types of bullying. We will also provide resources, including ways to report bullying. Throughout the month and the school year, we are encouraging students to take a S.T.A.N.D. against bullying. S - Speak Up T - Treat everyone with respect A - Advocate for others N- Never tolerate bullying D - Do the right thing Be on the lookout for weekly resources and informational videos regarding bullying prevention. The District is committed to educating, empowering, and supporting students in recognizing and taking a S.T.A.N.D. against bullying. STOPit Anonymous Reporting App STOPit is a simple, easy-to-use app that allows students to safely and anonymously report safety concerns like cyberbullying, threats, or self-harm. It empowers students to stand up for themselves and others while giving school staff tools to respond quickly and effectively. Students or a family member can submit a tip through the mobile app, web browser, or by calling the hotline. In order to report an incident, you must first enter an access code coinciding with the school your student attends. Click HERE for more information. Here Today, Ready for Tomorrow Coyote Ridge first-grade teacher Danielle DeBoer is all about the magic of attendance, and her story proves it! “The back-to-school season is my favorite time of year. I get so excited to see the new students and staff around campus and build connections. I remember when Coyote Ridge first opened, and I started third grade with Mrs. Burnett. Some of my best memories have been made at school, as a student and now a teacher," DeBoer said. "We, as teachers, love to see the students' smiling faces every day, and we miss them when we don't see them. Attendance at school is more than just being present, it's about showing up for your future. Every day in the classroom is a step forward in learning, growth, and connection. When students attend regularly, they build routines, gain knowledge, and develop relationships that shape who they become. Each missed day is a missed opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and be part of a community that supports and believes in them. We love your kids and we want to see them and help them grow!” Attendance Awareness Month Wrap-up Attendance Awareness Month may be coming to a close, but the importance of showing up to school every day continues year-round. Research shows that consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Throughout the month, our District has highlighted the power of regular attendance through spirit days and community outreach through our newsletters and social media accounts. These efforts remind students that every day of learning matters and being present helps them stay connected, build strong relationships, and reach their goals. We are grateful to our families for being such strong partners in this effort. Your commitment to getting students to school on time, every day, sets the foundation for good habits that will last a lifetime. By working together, we can ensure that every child has the best opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Remember, attendance matters every month of the year. CVR's First Family Picnic of the 2025/2026 School Year!
We would like to invite ALL parents and guardians to come to school on Friday, September 12th . Spend lunch with your child, enjoy music, and make memories! Feel free to bring a blanket or extra chair, and don't forget some good food to eat with your child! (We will not be accepting food drop off or delivery services) All Creekview Ranch students are also invited to go through the cafeteria to receive a fruit, veggie, juice box, milk, and treat. The cafeteria will not be serving parent meals at this time. Students will need to return to their classroom after lunch as their teachers have end of the day activities and lessons they would like to complete with all of the class. If you must take your child home - they NEED to be signed out in the office prior to leaving campus. **Studies have shown that students do better in school when there are active and interested adults involved in a child's life. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the school community, enjoy time with your child, as well as meet your child's friends and other staff on campus!**
