National School Breakfast Week and March Menus
DUSD Parents! Attached are the Breakfast, Lunch, Supper and Snack menus for March! We will be celebrating National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) beginning March 3 to March 7. Our Theme is: "Clue in to School Breakfast!" We will be giving out promotional items to students that receive a breakfast. Please note: One per student, these items are limited. Student must get a reimbursable breakfast to receive promotional item. Monday: Secret Agent Lanyards Tuesday: Secret Agent Notebooks Wednesday: Invisible Ink Pens Thursday: Magnifier Glass Friday: Secret Agent Mustaches If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to our office staff at 661-721-5075. TK/Kinder Message
Due to a recent change in policy, we are no longer requiring your child to re-enroll from TK to Kindergarten. Please disregard the registration packet that you received. Your child will be automatically enrolled in their Kindergarten class at their home school based on the boundaries based on your address on file. Thank you, Debido a un cambio reciente en póliza, ya no requerimos que su hijo/a se vuelva a matricular de TK a Kinder. Favor de ignorar el paquete de matriculación que se le envió. Dear parents, We encourage you to send your children to school. Your children’s daily attendance is vital to their educational success. The Delano Union School District remains committed to providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students and their families, irrespective of their citizenship or immigration status. Our Board Policy/Administrative Regulation 5145.13 - Response to Immigration Enforcement defines the measures we take to safeguard our students and families. We would like to remind you that Board Policy 5125 - Student Records states that student records shall not be disclosed to a person, agency, or organization for immigration enforcement purposes without parental consent, a court order, or judicial subpoena. These policies align with guidance provided by the California Attorney General’s “Promoting a Safe and Secure Learning Environment for All.” We want to assure our parents and school community that we will continue to provide all students the safeguards necessary to ensure a positive environment and high-quality education.

Copy of Lottery Window Opens February 3rd - March 3rd
Hello Delano Union School District parent's. It's time to put in your application for the Lottery or Intra-District Transfers. The window for the 2025-2026 school year will open February 3rd and closes March 3rd. Applications will not be accepted before February 1st. All "Lottery" applications received will be placed in the order received for the school and grade requested. The application has been linked for your convenience but can also be found on our district webpage at www.DUESD.org under the parents tab and by selecting student registration. All applications must be turned in at the Student Support Services building located at 1300 Norwalk Street in Delano. We are open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm. We also have a dropbox available for your convenience. Please note the following: Lottery/Open Enrollment/Waiting List approval is not guaranteed. Upon approval, if attendance, grades or conduct issues arise, student may be transferred back to his/her school of residence. Your child’s permit for a particular school is also subject to change if or when enrollment patterns affect the space available at the school requested. Any lottery applications received after March 3rd will be placed on a waiting list. You will be notified of your lottery status by June 27, 2025.
