  • EBT Benefits on Hold? Your Child Can Eat Free at School

Dear Parents and Guardians, During this time when many families may be affected by the government shutdown and delays in EBT benefits, we want to remind you that all students are eligible to receive free meals at school every day — no paperwork or income verification required.  Breakfast: Served before school starts. We encourage families to send students early so they can enjoy a healthy breakfast and start the day ready to learn. Lunch: Served daily during the school day. Supper : Offered after school for students who stay on campus. Please note: A signed parent permission slip is required for students to stay for supper , as this meal must be eaten on campus. Our goal is to make sure no child goes hungry and every student has access to nutritious meals throughout the day. If you have any questions or need a permission slip for the supper program, please contact your school office or the Food Services Department. Thank you for supporting your student’s health and well-being! Warm regards, John Chavolla Director of Food Services Delano Union School District
