Each menu is packed with healthy and delicious options to keep our students fueled for learning all month long. Highlights this month include: Fresh seasonal fruits and veggies Student favorites like tacos, chicken sandwiches, and pizza Balanced choices that meet USDA nutrition standards Check out the full menus below and plan ahead with your students: (Attach are the 4 menu images: Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, Snack) Thank you for supporting our Nutrition Services team as we continue to provide meals that nourish the body and mind.

We are excited to inform families about Sun Bucks, also known as the Summer EBT program, which provides eligible families with extra food benefits to help feed their children during the summer months. If your household income is less than 185% of the federal poverty level, children in your household may be eligible for the SUN Bucks program. Participating families will receive $120 per eligible child that you can use to buy food during the summer at grocery stores, farmers markets, and other authorized retailers. If you think your children are eligible, please complete the Universal Benefits Application that was sent home with your child and return it to your child’s school by September 2, 2025 . We’ve also added new scratch-cooked menu items and are continuing to expand salad bars across our school sites! We encourage all families to take advantage of these meal programs. The Delano Union School District Food Services Department is excited to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with several important updates: Breakfast and Lunch Menus Now Available This year’s menus feature a variety of nutritious options, including new scratch-cooked meals thoughtfully prepared by our dedicated team. Example: Breakfast: Turkey Chorizo and Eggs - Lunch: Beefy Macaroni & Drowned Burrito. We will be adding on more scratched cooked items throughout the year. Salad Bars We are expanding salad bars across school sites to provide students with daily access to fresh fruits and vegetables. While not all sites have them yet, we are working toward full implementation. We’ve truly enjoyed serving our students and community this summer, and we hope you’ll join us one last time before service ends on Friday, July 11.
