The Prosser School District has decided to close school tomorrow, Friday, January 19, 2024 due to current and anticipated severe weather conditions. This advance notice is to ensure your family has plenty of time to plan for alternative arrangements. We want to continue to partner with our local counties, The City of Prosser, and to support our maintenance crews to make sure our students and families are safe on our campuses. If you have any questions please contact your student building or the district office at 509-786-3323.
As a District we understand that when we delay or cancel school for weather related conditions, more than just our staff and families are affected. With this in mind, we're thrilled to announce that our community (daycare centers, grandparents, businesses, etc.) now has the ability to sign up for important notifications regarding school delays and closures through ParentSquare! This feature will keep those in our community informed and up to date on any changes to the school schedule due to unforeseen circumstances. If you know of any community members that are not PSD parents or guardians, who would benefit from being notified, please pass this message along. To sign up, they simply go to ParentSquare Community Groups under the Community page on our website: Join Community Groups | Prosser School District (parentsquare.com) and sign up. We believe this will greatly enhance our communication and help our community plan accordingly. Thank you for being a valued member of our community. Together, we can keep everyone well-informed and prepared.

We are now using the School Module, an online system provided by the Washington State Department of Health. The School Module allows us to quickly and efficiently check if your child has the vaccines required for school. This will save us time on finding and entering vaccination dates and free up time to work with students. Most children born and/or vaccinated in Washington already have their information in the system. You can access your child’s record at any time by signing up for MyIR at https://wa.myir.net/register . As we move to this system, the school nurse may ask you for more information about your child’s vaccination history. If your child is missing vaccines in the system, we may ask for a copy of their immunization record. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school nurse.
