Hello, In honor of Dolly Parton’s commitment to reading, and her founding of the Imagination Library, 9/25 will be a celebration of sparkles and colors! Students and staff, let’s come bedazzled and in a coat (or outfit) of many colors on 9/25! At 9:25 am on 9/25 there will be a guest reader reading her favorite book, The Little Engine that Could, on Redding School District’s Facebook Live.

Hello, Another amazing school year ends across Redding School District with the final day of summer school occurring June 26th! Thank you to all of our wonderful families who choose RSD, the amazing students who attend and learn at RSD, and the fabulous staff who serve across RSD! RSD is ALL of us! I can't wait to see everyone in the 2026-2027 school year.

[Friday, Jul 3 at 9:28 AM] Hello, If you are looking for a place to watch the fireworks, this is a reminder that Turtle Bay and Sequoia Middle School fields will be open. Bring friends and family, a blanket and some lawn chairs and enjoy! Port-a-potties will be available on both campuses.

Little Readers Read-Aloud Challenge
Another great week of reading across RSD! Week 2 Highlights: 38 classrooms participating 252 books read aloud 1 class earned a Bingo blackout — Manzanita TK Mrs. Woznika’s class! Week 2 Winner: Ms. Standing’s (Gowan) TK/K Class at Sycamore with 62 books read aloud! Amazing work building a love of reading in classrooms. We have ONE more week to go, let’s finish strong! PS- thank you to Cypress School's wonderful Tricia Tompkins for organizing this fantastic event!
