Uniform Policy Update Starting January 6th 2026
Dear BN 98 Families, We’re excited to share some great news! The Board of Education has approved updated uniform guidelines that provide more flexibility for our students while maintaining a positive learning environment. What’s Changing on January 6, 2026: • Any blue shirt • Any blue sweater • Any blue hoodie • Any other blue top Important Reminders: All clothing must still be appropriate for school. Tops may NOT display or promote: • Alcohol or drugs • Sexual content • Profanity or offensive language • Violence • Any messaging that creates a hostile environment Thank you for your support! 🌺 Día de los Muertos Yard Sign Altar Event 🌺
Berwyn North School District 98's first Día de los Muertos Celebration 📅 When: Wednesday, October 29th ⏰ Time: 5:30 - 8:00 PM 📍 Where: Jefferson School 7035 West 16th St. Berwyn, IL 60402 (Cafeteria) **Enter through the playground** What to expect: All District families are invited to create beautiful yard sign altars (to take home) to honor and remember loved ones. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this meaningful tradition together as a community and enjoy a performance by Aztec Dancers! Please bring: Photos of loved ones you'd like to honor Small ornaments or mementos to personalize your altar Your family's creativity and love! Uniform reminder!
Hi families, Here’s a quick refresher on what our uniform guidelines look like: 👕 Shirts: Plain with a collar. 👖 Bottoms: Plain skirts and shorts (no more than 1” above the knee), or other plain pants with no rips, logos, or writing. 🧥 Outerwear: Sweaters, vests, or hoodies with the school logo are allowed – perfect for layering while showing school pride. 🎨 Color Scheme: Stick to solid shades of blue – navy, royal, light blue, etc. No extra graphics, symbols, or words. 🚫 Leave at Home: Hats, bandanas, open-toe shoes, and sunglasses – save those for the weekends! *NOT APPLICABLE TO PRE-K STUDENTS*
