The pantry is currently seeking donations of canned goods and other non-perishable foods to help restock its shelves and ensure that no student goes without. The KHS Food Pantry is open to students after school from 3:30-4:00pm, Monday through Friday, and serves as a confidential, welcoming resource for those who may be experiencing food insecurity. Student Council members started the pantry as a direct response to the impact of the recent government shutdown and the loss of Food Assistance Programs that have affected many local families. Community members who wish to contribute can drop off donations at the Kilgore High School front office during regular school hours.
