REMINDER: Complete Preschool Registration by April 1...
Complete 2026-27 Free Integrated Preschool Program Registration by April 15th to be Eligible for Location Preference Lottery Spots Available at in-District Locations and Local Providers for All Township Residents Click here for Frequently Asked Questions about the 2026-27 Preschool Program WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Registration is open for the Washington Township Public Schools’ free, integrated preschool program for the 2026-27 school year. Beginning in September, WTPS plans to offer preschool for all resident three- and four-year-old children. This significant expansion is contingent upon the District maintaining its dedicated Preschool Education Aid (PEA) funding from the New Jersey Department of Education's Division of Early Childhood Education (DECE). Parents/guardians can begin the Genesis Open Registration process at this link . Support for registration can be found on our website , or you can contact District Registrar Matt Pesyna at mpesyna@wtps.org . Registration can be completed fully online. However, if necessary, in-person appointments can be made at this link . Please note: Appointments are NOT required. All registrations completed in full by April 15, 2026 , will be eligible for the Preschool Location Preference Lottery, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in May 2026. Once registration is complete, parents will be sent a link to a Google Form to rank their location preferences, and the lottery will determine the order of those placements. The Location Preference Lottery will be conducted after the Governor's budget address, which finalizes the program's funding. Families will be notified of their child's placement location shortly after the lottery. A registration is considered fully complete only when all required documentation is uploaded and verified. This includes: Parent/Guardian photo ID/license Child's birth certificate Photo of child Child's immunization records and proof of physical examination (within last 365 days) Parent/guardian's three (3) proofs of residency at the Washington Township address (this should include a deed, mortgage statement, or current property tax statement for homeowners, or a non-expired lease for renters; other proofs must show a date within the last 60 days). Copy of any custody orders or legal documentation related to the child. Any submissions for the Preschool Location Preference Lottery received after 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2026, will not be included in the drawing. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Any duplicate submissions also will be removed. Pending confirmation of PEA funding from the NJ DOE, WTPS has planned to utilize the following preschool locations for the 2026-27 school year: Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center (251 Woodbury Turnersville Road, Sewell) Kindle Elementary School (211 Washington Avenue, Pitman) Little Achievers (115 Johnson Road, Turnersville)* Tutor Time (123 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell)* Cadence Academy (315 Fries Mill Road, Sewell)* Kid Academy (444 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell)* Goddard School (3 Plaza Drive, Sewell)* Head Start (35 Sewell Street, Glassboro)*Must qualify Washington Township High School (529 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell)** Walls Elementary School (320 Grant Avenue, Pitman)*** *-Availability at local provider locations is contingent upon signed contracts between the location and the district. **-Employee residents only ***-Pending signed lease contract Registrations completed after the April 15, 2026, deadline will still allow you to rank your preferred locations. However, these students will not be placed in locations until after all students who met the April 15th deadline have been placed via the lottery. Please note, if your child already has secured a spot at either Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center, Washington Township High School PEA classroom, Kindle Elementary School, a PEA seat at a provider location, or Head Start, they are not eligible for this location lottery and their entries will be removed prior to the drawing .
