November 21: Bobcat Bulletin
Ms. Bryant's Message A Heartfelt Thank You, BPE Community đ«¶đŒ As we head into Thanksgiving Break, I want to pause and express my deep gratitude for this incredible community. Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to show up for othersâboth within BPE and beyondânever cease to amaze me. Canned Food Drive Success Thank you to everyone who contributed to our canned food drive. Your donations will make a meaningful difference for families in our area this holiday season. Watching students excitedly carry in goodsâknowing they were helping neighborsâwas truly heartwarming. EEF Campaign: We Did It! đ Because of YOU, we not only met but exceeded our EEF Teacher Fund goal! 51% participation (goal was 50%) $171,579 raised (goal was $165,000) 202 households donated Your support directly funds teachers at BPE and keeps our campus strong, stable, and able to provide the level of excellence our students deserve. Thank you for believing in our school, in our mission, and in our staff. Celebrations & Winners A few fun recognitions: Class Winner: Ms. Caudillâs class! Theyâll enjoy a well-earned pizza party. Grade Level Winner: 3rd Grade! They earned a Mighty Fine gift certificate for their amazing turnout. And because our school met the 50% participation goal, all students earned extra recessâa favorite treat for our Bobcats! Feeling Thankful As we wrap up this week, I hope you feel the same overwhelming gratitude I do. I am thankful for: A community that celebrates together. Families who model kindness, giving, and service. Students who brighten our halls every single day. Staff who pour their hearts into this work. A school that truly feels like a family. From my heart to yours, thank you for making Bridge Point such a special place. Wishing you a joyful, restful, and delicious Thanksgiving Break! 𧥠Sincerely, Sheri Bryant A Quick Note About Water Bottles đ§ We want our students to stay healthy and hydrated throughout the day, and sending them with water is incredibly helpfulâthank you for supporting this habit. Recently, we have seen an increase in spills across campus, including: during assemblies where students sit closely together, in hallways where loose lids create âtrailsâ of liquid, and inside backpacks where puddles can damage materials and carpet. To help protect our school environment: Please send students to school with WATER only. We ask that students bring water only in their bottles each day. Other beveragesâsuch as juices, sodas, sports drinks, flavored beverages, or specialty drinksâtend to spill more easily and can leave sticky stains that attract ants and rodents, creating challenging facilities issues inside a school building. Please also ensure water bottles have secure, spill-proof lids. Cups with straws, cups with snap-on lids, disposable drink cups, and open-top tumblers tend to leakâeven when carried carefully or placed upright. Theyâre especially prone to spills when tipped in backpacks or knocked over in assemblies. We strongly recommend sturdy, spill-proof water bottles that fully close and can be placed securely in a backpack or side pocket without risk of leaking. As a reminder, our previous library carpet was almost 25 years old before we were finally allowed to replace it, so protecting our carpets from stains and damage is a priority. Thank you for helping keep BPE clean, safe, and comfortable for all studentsâand for supporting routines that truly make a difference! Morning Assembly We love parents at Morning Assembly! Please remember our priority is getting our students and staff to their designated places safely and comfortably. In order for students to navigate the cafeteria, visitors must stand BEHIND the 5th graders in the gym. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by visiting the BPE Homepage and navigating to Visitor RSVP. We will have your badge pre-printed and you can enter the school with you child through the middle doors. If you forget to RSVP (the deadline is Thursday at noon), you will be asked to check-in at the front office. November 8: Bobcat Bulletin
Ms. Bryant's Message Dear Bridge Point Families, Thank you to our 3rd grade students, 3rd grade teachers, music teachers, veterans, guests, and Brenden Mullen for a wonderful Veterans Day Assembly this morning. I am grateful all of our students got to experience this patriotic tradition and honor very important people in our community. Thank you, Veterans! Sincerely, Sheri Bryant Help Us Reach 100% for Our Teachers! đ Iâd like to share why I proudly support the Eanes Education Foundation (EEF) and this yearâs EEF Teacher Fund Campaign, happening October 29 â November 14. For the past 12 years, Iâve had the privilege of serving at Bridge Point Elementaryâa truly special place where teachers, staff, and families partner to ensure every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. One of the most powerful ways EEF supports that mission is by funding positions the State of Texas does not requireâor fund. Thanks to EEF, our students benefit from essential professionals each day, including our: Nurse Librarian Counselors Intervention Specialists Gifted & Talented Teacher Specials Teachers (Art, Music, PE) These roles are considered âluxuriesâ by the state, but we know they are necessities for a well-rounded education. A few important facts: 58% of our property taxes leave Eanes ISD and are redistributed across Texas. 100% of your EEF donation stays here, directly supporting Eanes teachers and staff. Last year, Bridge Point earned the EEF Impact Award for raising the most funds among all Eanes elementary schools! Together, we contributed a record-breaking $151,394.31 with 43.2% participationânearly doubling the previous yearâs total. This year, our goals are ambitious but achievable: Funding Goal: $165,000 Participation Goal: 100% Your generosity through EEF ensures our students continue to benefit from exceptional educators, engaging enrichment, and the warm, well-rounded learning environment that makes Bridge Point such a special place to grow. You can đdonate online or drop a check at the BPE main office. Every contributionâbig or smallâmakes a direct impact on our school and our students. If you have any questions, please reach out to our wonderful campaign co-chairs, Jennifer Blackman (jennifer@jenniferblackmanconsulting.com) or Melissa Chan (chan.melissas@gmail.com). For more information, you can also watch this video. Thank you for supporting Bridge Point, our teachers, and our students. Together, we keep BPE strong! đ EEF Party Highlights & Raffle Winners We had a fantastic time at BPE Parentsâ Night Outâthank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and support our teachers! So far, 28% of Bridge Point familiesâthatâs 111 out of 395 householdsâhave donated, helping us raise an incredible $100,422.65 toward our goal! Weâre well on our way, but weâre striving for 100% participation, no matter the amount. Every gift counts, and every family makes a difference. Congratulations to our prize winners: Mercedes and Hal Frost â Best of Westlake Gift Basket Holly and Nick Laurent â Faherty Blanket Thereâs still plenty of time (and prizes!) leftâdonate by November 14 to be entered to win more great giveaways. đ Donate Now and help us reach 100% participationâeven a $25+ gift makes a difference for the teachers who make Bridge Point extraordinary! Bullying Prevention Mrs. Buoyer and homeroom teachers are teaming up to teach your child specific skills to help stop bullying. Students will learn how to: Recognize when bullying is happening, report bullying to a caring adult, and refuse to let bullying happen. Be a bystander who helps stop bullying. Support someone being bullied by standing up for that person and being kind and inclusive. Recognize, report, and refuse cyber bullying when they see or know about it happening. For bullying prevention to work, everyone at school needs to be involved and we need your help, too! Get involved in making our school a safe and respectful place by letting us know if you hear about bullying at our school. Make sure your child knows to tell you or someone at school if he or she is being bullied, or if he or she knows about someone else being bullied. Give your child the clear message that it is never okay to bully others. Thank you for helping us make our school a safe, respectful place where everyone can learn. â Morning Assembly We love parents at Morning Assembly! October 31: Bobcat Bulletin
Ms. Bryant's Message Dear Bridge Point Families, We loved welcoming families to Bridge Point for Parent-Teacher Conferences over the past two days! Thank you for partnering with us in your childâs education and for the trust you place in us each day. We hope your conversations provided meaningful insight into your childâs learning and experiences at BPE. Speaking of meaningful experiences, next week is our Veterans Day Assembly â one of our most special Bridge Point traditions. This event is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served our country, and we warmly invite all families to attend. Please note that this assembly is longer than a typical one, and we kindly ask that you RSVP in advance so your visitor badge will be printed and ready for you that morning. At BPE, we deeply value your involvement, visits, and continued support. Please reach out to me or any of the staff if you need anything. We are here for you â always. đđ Sincerely, Sheri Bryant đ§ Construction Update Crews will excavate on Saturday, November 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in addition to weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting. Hauling work takes place during night hours. Neighbors and businesses may experience an increase in noise, vibration, dust and lighting. Construction can be a disruptive process, and we thank you for your patience as we work as quickly and as safely as possible. Beginning Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m., northbound and southbound Loop 360 between Pennybacker Bridge and Westlake Drive, the right lane will be closed nightly for concrete work through Wednesday, Nov. 5. All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m., weather permitting. Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 3 a.m., southbound Loop 360 between Pennybacker Bridge and Cedar Street, the left lane will be closed nightly for barrier work through Thursday, Nov. 6. All lanes are expected to open by 5 a.m., weather permitting. Beginning Thursday morning, Nov. 6, construction materials arriving for the new Cedar Street bridge may impact traffic between Wallace Drive and Cedar Street. Between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., the right shoulder of southbound Loop 360 between Wallace Drive and Champion Grandview Way will be closed for bridge work. Trucks will enter the work zone at Cedar Street and drivers may experience delays on southbound Loop 360 between Wallace Drive and Westlake Drive. Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the upcoming changes. TxDOT asks drivers to be patient. Pay attention to flaggers and traffic control, plan ahead and expect delays. Neighbors and businesses may experience an increase in noise, vibration, dust and lighting during night work. To learn more about this project, visit Loop360project.com.
