Weather update
KCISD Families and Staff, We’re monitoring the weather closely to ensure everyone’s safety. While rain is expected tonight and tomorrow, temperatures are unlikely to cause icy roads. KCISD schools and offices will remain open Thursday, January 9, and Friday, January 10, with all classes held as scheduled. Please check ParentSquare for updates on all activities. Friday Practice
Good morning all!! Yesterday in practice we discussed having a practice today. It was last minute and many people are not going to be able to accommodate the short notice. We are going to skip that extra practice today. Also, with the Junior High UIL competition next week we will also have to cancel Tuesday’s practice. Our next and last practice of the semester will be Thursday the 19th. C. Jackson and A. EspinozaFriday, Dec 13 2024

Ramped December Newsletter
Hello KCISD Families, We’re excited to share the latest RAMPED December Newsletter with you! This month’s focus is on environmental wellness , reminding us how small changes—like decluttering, connecting with nature, and practicing the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle)—can have a big impact on our mental health. These simple steps can reduce stress, spark creativity, and bring positive energy into our lives. 🌟 We’re also celebrating the amazing work of four graduate interns who have been making a difference in our schools through the RAMPED program. From supporting students’ social-emotional learning to helping staff and families, their contributions are helping create stronger, healthier school communities. 🎓 Special congratulations to Anthony Warzecha and James Peralta on their December graduations! Take a moment to read the reflections from our interns and see how gratitude, connection, and dedication to our students continue to shape the future of school counseling and social work in rural schools. Thank you for your support in making KCISD a place where we all “Live Well to Learn Well”! 🧡🖤
