Online Registration for 2025–2026 Opens Monday, June 2
Dear Bulldog Families, Online registration for all new and returning Hitchcock ISD students opens on Monday, June 2, 2025 through Skyward Family Access. All registration will be completed online only , and each student’s enrollment must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. To complete registration, you’ll need the following documents ready to upload: Parent/Guardian Photo ID Proof of Residency (utility bill, lease, mortgage, etc.) Student's Birth Certificate (for new students) Updated Immunization Records (for new students and updates to existing) New students that are transferring from another district will need to provide prior records where applicable. Students looking to transfer to Hitchcock ISD from another district are welcome to apply using our new online Out-of-District Transfer Application , now linked on the registration page. Need help accessing your Skyward Family Access account?Visit www.hitchcockisd.org , click Parents > Skyward Family Access , and select “Forgot your Username or Password?” to reset your login. You can do this all online. Hitchcock ISD Police Department Receives NRA Foundat...
Hitchcock ISD is proud to announce that the HISD Police Department has received a $1,500 grant from The NRA Foundation . This funding enabled the department to purchase five high-quality shotguns , along with slings and hardware, to support law enforcement training, school safety preparedness, and potential future involvement in competitive shooting programs. This grant not only enhances our department’s readiness but also reinforces a culture of responsibility, skill, and safety across our campuses. A special thank-you to Officer Shelby Samuelson for his outstanding work in writing and securing this grant for the district. His dedication continues to elevate the capabilities and impact of the Hitchcock ISD Police Department.

Welcome Chief Brian Rusk – HISD’s New Chief of Police
Dear Bulldog Families, We are excited to share that Chief Brian Rusk has officially joined Hitchcock ISD as our new Chief of Police, effective May 12, 2025. Chief Rusk brings with him over 24 years of experience in law enforcement, having served in leadership roles with the Hitchcock Police Department and the Pearland Police Department. Throughout his career, he has worked in patrol, criminal investigations, crisis negotiation, SWAT, and training. He is also a certified TCOLE Instructor and has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers across the state in mental health and crisis intervention. Beyond his experience, Chief Rusk is passionate about safety, service, and building meaningful relationships within the community. He believes strongly in creating safe, supportive learning environments where students can grow and thrive. We are proud to have him leading our incredible Hitchcock ISD Police Department, and we know he will be a valuable partner in serving our students, staff, and families.
