ParentSquare FAQ Tips, How To's and Information Now that we have been utilizing ParentSquare for the last few months, we have put together a few tips, tricks, how to's and information on setting up, navigating, and using ParentSquare.   Activation Activate your Account When you are new to the district, we will automatically send you an activation email to set up your ParentSquare account. Click the link in your activation email. Follow the instructions to activate your account. Then you can download the ParentSquare App for mobile notifications. Students (6th -12th) are emailed an invitation to their student Google email addresses, and utilize "StudentSquare" . Once they activate their accounts, they may download the StudentSquare app. If you choose to NOT activate your account, you will miss out on some very key features of the platform, and will not be able to adjust any preferences within ParentSquare. Download the App While it is not mandatory, it is highly useful to download the ParentSquare App and set your preferences for your notifications. iOS App - Apple Store Android App - Google Play Store Notification Preferences--Important Information By default, when your account is made, your notification preferences are set to DIGEST. This means that any posts, announcements, news, or information that is sent, you will receive it in a summary around 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM. Urgent messages are always sent and received immediately. BRSD strongly recommends that you go into your settings and change your notification settings for email, text and app to "INSTANT" On a PC or Laptop, click your name in the top right and select "Manage Account" . From there, on the left hand side of the page, you will see the different categories that you can set preferences for. Select "Notification Settings" and choose "Instant" for all options listed. If you are using the app, click on the three lines in the upper left, choose "account" then choose "notifications", and switch all to instant. More... Get Photos & Files Click ‘Photos & Files’ in sidebar to access pictures, forms, and documents that have been shared with you. We have even listed some of our most popular and useful links. Comment or Reply Click ‘Comment’ in app or website to privately ask a question about the post that your teacher or school sent. Get in Touch Click ‘Messages’ in the sidebar to privately get in touch with staff and teachers.
