  • Bus Safety: Tap On & Tap Off!

PUSD Families, As part of our ongoing efforts to improve student safety, we are asking all students who ride the school bus to tap their student ID badge when boarding and exiting the bus each day. Why does this matter? •     It helps us know exactly who is on the bus and when your child safely exits, especially important in an emergency. How can you help? •     Remind your child to have their student ID badge with them every day. •     Encourage them to tap on when they board and tap off when they exit. We appreciate your help in reinforcing this simple step that helps us maintain a safe transportation system for our students.

  • Action Required: Universal Benefits Application for ...

Universal Benefits Application for 2025 Summer SUN Bucks We are reaching out to inform you of an important step required to determine your child’s eligibility for the 2025 Summer SUN Bucks program, which provides a Summer EBT card to qualifying students during the summer months. In addition to the Income Form you may have already completed, families are now required to submit the Universal Benefits Application (UBA) for the current 2024–2025 school year. Why this matters: Submitting the UBA ensures your child is considered for valuable support programs like Summer SUN Bucks. Without a completed application, your child may miss out on these benefits. Please complete the Universal Benefits Application as soon as possible, but no later than May 30, 2025. If you need help or have questions, feel free to contact us—we’re here to assist you.

  • Important: New Dialing Procedures for 559 Area Code

New Dialing Procedures for 559 Area Code Dial 1 + Area Code + Phone Number                     Dear PUSD Families, We want to inform you about an important change affecting phone communications in our area. Starting today, February 26, 2025, all calls within the 559 area code now require dialing 1 + area code + phone number, even for local calls. This change is due to introducing the new 357 area code, which will serve the same geographic area as the existing 559 code. Beginning March 26, 2025, new phone numbers may be assigned the 357 area code, while your current phone numbers will remain unchanged. 📢 If you are having trouble reaching your child’s school or the district office, please ensure you are dialing the full number, including 1 + area code. To ensure seamless communication: ✔ Update Contact Information: Revise your saved contacts to include 1 + area code + phone number. ✔ Reprogram Devices: Adjust any devices that use automatic dialing, such as home security systems or medical alert devices, to the new dialing format. ✔ Inform Family Members: Ensure all household members are aware of this change to prevent any disruption in phone service. For more information, visit the California Public Utilities Commission’s website. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
