Please take a moment to review the latest news and important reminders.     Spanish Spelling Bee – December 17, 2025 Gregory-Portland ISD will host a Spanish Spelling Bee on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the George W. Harris Field House in the Multi-Purpose Room. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their Spanish language skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Families are welcome to attend and cheer on our Wildcats as they compete. Date: Wednesday, December 17, 2025 Time: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Location: George W. Under the Penal Code, a person commits the offense of making a firearm accessible to a child if the child gains access to a readily dischargeable firearm, and the person with criminal negligence:  Failed to secure the firearm; or  Left the firearm in a place to which the person knew or should have known the child would gain access  The penalty for allowing a child access to a firearm can range from a Class C misdemeanor (punishable by a $500 fine) to a Class A misdemeanor (punishable by a $4000 fine, a year in jail, or a combination of the two).     More information can be found here.    3rd Annual G-PISD Angel Tree   Nominate a student, employee, or community member who deserves recognition for making a difference!
