Beginning June 18, Gregory-Portland ISD will launch a redesigned district website to provide a more modern, user-friendly experience for students, families, staff, and community members. While the website may look different, you'll still find the same important information, resources, and services you rely on, just with improved navigation, mobile accessibility, and a refreshed design. The website may experience temporary downtime during the transition on June 18. We appreciate your patience as we make these improvements and look forward to sharing the new experience with you. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing the new experience with our students, families, staff, and community.   Merchant Agreement Renewals Now Open Gregory-Portland ISD is now accepting merchant agreement renewals for the 2026-2027 school year. Businesses, organizations, and vendors who use G-PISD logos, trademarks, or branding on merchandise must renew their agreement annually to maintain authorization. Authorized Brand Partners receive access to the district's current Brand Style Guide and approved branding resources to ensure consistent and accurate use of G-PISD trademarks. If you currently sell merchandise featuring G-PISD logos or would like to become an authorized vendor, please contact the G-PISD Communications Department for renewal information and requirements. Thank you for helping protect and promote the Gregory-Portland ISD brand. Schedule Renewal Meeting  Firearm Safety Texas law requires school districts to distribute information to parents and guardians about the safe storage of firearms. This information will help you learn about options for, as well as how to talk to your child and others about, the safe storage of firearms.  In 2021, 4,613 Texans experienced gun-related deaths. The Texas Department of State Health Services (SHS) reports that 55% of Texas firearms deaths in 2020 were suicides and that 59% of all suicides in Texas were by firearms. Suicide attempts involving firearms have a 90% fatality rate. Restricting access to guns is critical in reducing acts of violence, whether as self-harm or towards others. Acts of mass violence and interpersonal violence often end in suicide.   It is unlawful to store, transport, or abandon an unsecured firearm in a place where children are likely to be and can obtain access to the firearm. Under Texas Penal Code 46.13, a person commits the offense of making a firearm accessible to a child if the child gains access to a readily dischargeable firearm, and the person with criminal negligence:  Failed to secure the firearm; or  Left the firearm in a place to which the person knew or should have known the child would gain access  The penalty for allowing a child access to a firearm can range from a Class C misdemeanor (punishable by a $500 fine) to a Class A misdemeanor (punishable by a $4000 fine, a year in jail, or a combination of the two).   Texas exempts the purchase of firearm safety equipment from Texas Sales and Use Tax. Remember, a gun should be stored unloaded in a safe or locked container, with ammunition stored elsewhere. As a result, we would also like to make the space available for public use during the summer for those who have made improvements possible -- YOU, a valued member of our community! The facility spaces available for public use will be the G-P High School Tennis Courts and Track located at 4600 Wildcat Dr. during "summer hours." Please see the information below for public-use summer hours!  Gregory-Portland High School Tennis Courts and Track | Public Use Summer Hours - 2026 Hours & Parking:  Public use of facilities will be available (4) days a week-(Mon.-Thurs.) thru July 23th  During days mentioned above, facilities will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Facilities are only available to public when not in use by a G-PISD Program  Parking will be available in the Akins Stadium parking lot    Facility Use Info & Reminders:   The opening of these facilities is intended strictly for residents to use at their leisure. Vehicle use of any kind including bicycles, e-bikes, skateboards, roller blades, etc. is strictly prohibited inside the athletic complex.  Turf athletic fields remain off-limits to public use.     Facilities are only available to public when not in use by a G-PISD Program.   All facilities are under 24-hour video surveillance to protect the occupants and property. Unsafe actions or vandalism of any kind will not be tolerated, and footage will be turned over to authorities to assist in any criminal investigations.   Visitors must follow all posted signage and guidelines for safe and respectful facility use.    G-PISD Summer Hours District offices and departments will be open Monday-Thursday, closed on Fridays beginning June 1 through July 30, 2026. Jeremiah is a proud G-P Middle School student-athlete who represents Wildcat pride through responsibility, respect, and hard work every day. On and off the field, he shows determination, leadership, and a strong commitment to doing his best. We are proud of him and excited to see all he continues to accomplish! Kaitlyn Kilgore We are excited to recognize our last Legacy Leader of the year, Kaitlyn Kilgore! 👏 Kaitlyn continues to represent Wildcat pride through her hard work, dedication, and positive attitude every day. As a standout student-athlete, she has shown incredible commitment and recently achieved the honor of making it to state. 🏅🐾  Kaitlyn leads by example in everything she does and inspires those around her to work hard and stay positive. We are so proud of her and all she has accomplished this year!    Friday, May 22, 2026 is the last day of school for our G-P Wildcats! We hope everyone has a safe and memorable summer!
