Student Password Reset

Dear Parents and Guardians,   To help protect student accounts and strengthen the security of student information, Volusia County Schools has reset passwords for all students in  Pre-K through Grade 5 for the upcoming school year.   What Parents Need to Know Who is affected: All elementary students in Pre-K through Grade 5 New password format: Student alpha code followed by the student's two-digit day of birth (Example: 2ABCD01 ) When to use the password: Students may need this password when accessing district resources from home or when logging into applications that require their district credentials. Why This Change Is Important Regular password updates help keep student accounts secure, protect personal information, and support safe digital learning practices. Student Device Insurance

Student Device Insurance Families can now purchase device insurance coverage for one or more students to cover the 26-27 school year. Because accidents happen! Families have the option to purchase coverage until 9/15/26 for any accidental damages to VCS laptops or iPads at $30 per student. Coverage begins on the day of purchase and expires at the start of the next school year. Invoices are now available in Parent Portal for payment and will void on 9/15/26. Volusia County Schools Offers Summer Food Service Pr...

For Immediate Release May 15, 2026   Volusia County Schools Offers Summer Food Service Program DELAND –   School Way Café, a department of Volusia County Schools, will provide meals to children 18 years old or younger during the summer at no charge through the USDA Summer Food Service Program and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. To cover the gap between the end of the regular school year and the start of summer programs, VCS’ select school’s sites will offer breakfast and lunch meals. Students attending VCS Summer Programs in-person will receive their breakfast and lunch meals at no charge at the school they are attending. For children 18 years old and under who are not on campus during the summer may also participate in the meal program. For security and preparation purposes, parents or guardians of children not participating in a school program will need to place an order for meals 24 hours in advance, by contacting the front office of the participating school site as registration is required. During the designated mealtime service, the registered families must check in at the office.  School Way Café Summer Food Service is to operate Monday, June 8 to Thursday, July 28, 2026. The following sites will serve meals Monday-Thursday. All sites will be closed June 19 in observance of Juneteenth and July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Children must eat their meals on site.
