Washington County School District is committed to keeping every campus a safe place to learn and a safe place to work. That commitment showed again as school staff completed Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training. CPI’s evidence-based de-escalation training gives educators and support staff the skills and confidence to recognize challenging behavior early and respond before a situation escalates. That means fewer disruptions, more time for teaching, and stronger protection for students and staff. Student safety and staff safety go hand in hand. When our team is trained, prepared, and supported, classrooms stay calmer, relationships stay stronger, and students have a better chance to thrive. Washington County School District continues to invest in professional learning that puts people first and keeps our schools focused on what matters most: learning in a safe, caring environment. Thank you to the staff members who completed this training and to our families for partnering with us as we work every day to make Washington County Schools a place where students and staff are protected, valued, and set up for success.

We Remember

Today we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders and everyday heroes who ran toward danger. Twenty-five years later, we teach our students the importance of service, courage, and standing together. We will never forget. God Bless America.
