Weather Update 2 September 24, 2024 Based on the latest forecast models of Tropical Cyclone Helene, the Calhoun County School District will remain open on Wednesday, September 25th and students will be released at 1:00 p.m., due to a previously scheduled Early Release Day. Schools will be closed on Thursday, September 26th and all extracurricular activities will be cancelled. Due to the expected late exit of Helene, schools will also be closed on Friday, September 27th. Extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday remain scheduled as long as conditions allow. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we anticipate resuming school on Monday, September 30th. Please stay safe and continue to look for updates on ParentSquare, Facebook, and news media outlets.

September 24, 2024 The Calhoun County School district is closely monitoring the development of the storm and its projected path. Later this morning, we will be meeting with local Emergency Management officials as well as the Calhoun County Commissioners to get an update on the weather and begin to finalize plans for the week.
