Data Confirmation Requirement for All Returning Stud...
Hello SMJUHSD Families, Prior to the beginning of each school year, parents and guardians are required to confirm the information we have on file. This process is called Data Confirmation. In families with multiple children, data confirmation must be completed for each child individually. In addition to the District forms required by law, each school may require site-specific forms and procedures. Data confirmation is required for all students before the start of school on August 10, 2023. Data confirmation is completed online. Please visit the Aeries Portal site and login with your email and password. Attached to this message are step by step instructions for how to complete the data confirmation. When you first log in to the Aeries parent portal, you will be prompted to complete the data confirmation for each student before you can view that student’s records. Click on the link to start the data confirmation. You will have an opportunity to complete the online data confirmation for each student, if you have multiple students already enrolled in the District . To view a different student, go to 'Change Student' in the upper-right of the Portal screen after logging in. Once you’ve completed the data confirmation, if you would like to make additional changes, go to the 'Student Info' tab and select 'Data Confirmation'. Visit your school’s website for additional, school-specific information. Questions on enrollment and data confirmation? Please contact your child’s school. Upcoming Storm Information
Dear Students, Families and Staff, All Santa Maria Joint Union High School District (SMJUHSD) schools and the district office will be open Tuesday, March 14. Please review the incoming weather information below. We will update you if anything changes. Thank you, Kenny Klein SMJUHSD Public Information Officer From Ready SBC: A FLOOD WATCH has been issued for Santa Barbara County effective 9 AM Tuesday, March 14 through 5 AM Wednesday, March 15. Avoid low-lying and flood-prone areas, areas with standing water, and areas near creeks or streams. If you are in one of these areas be prepared to go to higher ground. Visit www.weather.gov/lox for more information. Another rain system is expected to arrive in Santa Barbara County on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Rainfall is predicted to start Tuesday morning and remain consistent through Wednesday morning. Current forecasts indicate this storm is likely to cause excessive runoff which may result in dangerous flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low lying and flood prone areas. Residents should take steps to prepare ahead of the storm. https://www.countyofsb.org/576/Storm-Readiness If you are concerned that this storm may cause unsafe conditions to your home, leave the area before rain starts. Do not wait for an official evacuation notification to leave. If you feel unsafe during the rainfall, shelter in place in your home by gathering your family and pets in the inner most room of your house, preferably on the top floor if you live in a multi-story home. Do not attempt to drive at night or while it is raining, as roads may be damaged and your car may be swept away by moving water or debris. Public safety officials are keeping a close eye on the incoming storm. Officials will continue to work together to further assess if emergency protective actions are necessary, such as an evacuation warning, evacuation order, or shelter in place.
