FUSD Schools Open Tomorrow: Tuesday, August 22, 2023
Dear Fontana Unified School District Community: Thank you for your cooperation and quick response to today’s school closures due to weather related issues from Tropical Storm Hilary. With the help of our site administrators, site custodians, and Maintenance and Operations staff, a thorough inspection of school campuses was conducted this morning. This inspection assessed any damage to buildings, facilities, roads, and other infrastructure. It also ensures that the campuses are safe for students and staff to return. We experienced minimal damage to our school sites and several sites are undergoing minor repairs and removal of water and debris today. More importantly, everyone is safe, and that is our utmost priority. As of noon today, Fontana Unified School District is all-clear and will resume normal school operations tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming our students and staff back tomorrow!
