Good Morning Fontana Unified Families, Our schools and district values feedback from parents and students. Through this feedback, positive changes are made in our schools. The information we learned from the 2022 Annual Survey was valuable in helping us make important decision related to areas such as school safety and parent engagement. Please help us by taking this anonymous survey which will provide our schools and district with valuable information about school environment, safety, and communication that will be used to improve programs and services, and help us to plan our priorities in the future. View the attached flyer to access the survey and learn more. Thank you for your support and valuable feedback. Fontana Unified School District
Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities. The event commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large. FUSD is excited to provide students opportunities to explore the contributions, opinions, stories, and daily lives of people from diverse backgrounds throughout history by encouraging students, classrooms, and/or sites to participate in projects or activities that highlight cultures reflective of our community. We invite our students to participate in our Hispanic Heritage Celebration by submitting a piece of written, physical, digital, or recorded art showcasing their celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Submissions can be made by individuals, groups, or classes of students who attend any of our Fontana Unified School District Schools. Dear Fontana Unified School District Community: Thank you for your cooperation and quick response to today’s school closures due to weather related issues from Tropical Storm Hilary. With the help of our site administrators, site custodians, and Maintenance and Operations staff, a thorough inspection of school campuses was conducted this morning. This inspection assessed any damage to buildings, facilities, roads, and other infrastructure. It also ensures that the campuses are safe for students and staff to return. We experienced minimal damage to our school sites and several sites are undergoing minor repairs and removal of water and debris today. More importantly, everyone is safe, and that is our utmost priority. As of noon today, Fontana Unified School District is all-clear and will resume normal school operations tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming our students and staff back tomorrow!
