FREE TUTORING with Carnegie Learning
Carnegie Learning Online Tutoring Expanded Learning is once again partnering with Carnegie Learning to provide free, online tutoring in math and English language arts to our TK-12th grade students enrolled in PSUSD. Cielo Vista students are not eligible to sign up as CVC provides their own program with their Expanded Learning funds. Tutors will work with students in small groups to close skill gaps and boost their confidence. Each cohort will run 10 weeks and students are required to attend all 10 weeks. Attendance is monitored and any student who misses two sessions will be removed from the cohort. Registration is now open for 2nd-12th grade students for Cohort 2, which will begin August 31st. Students in TK-1st grade will be able to register on August 14th for Cohort 3, which begins September 29th. Students are able to register for one subject area per cohort. 📢 Raymond Cree Middle School Office Closure Reminder
Raymond Cree Middle School office will be closed for summer break and will reopen on Monday, July 20. Before the start of the school year, please make sure to complete the following: ✅ Incoming 7th Grade Students: California law requires all students entering 7th grade to have proof of a Tdap (Whooping Cough) vaccination on file. Students who do not have proof of the Tdap vaccine by the first day of school may not be able to attend until documentation is provided. ✅ Online Registration: If you have not yet completed your student's Online Registration, please do so as soon as possible. Hello Palm Springs High School Staff, Students, and Community, As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to ensure that all staff members are informed of an important change to our student scheduling procedures. Beginning this year, Palm Springs High School will be in full compliance with the California Education Code, which requires all high school students to be enrolled in a minimum of five classes during the regular school day. This change means that no student will be permitted to carry a schedule of fewer than five classes unless they qualify for a specific exemption authorized under state law. The purpose of this requirement is straightforward: to ensure that every student at PSHS receives the full instructional time they are entitled to, remains on track toward meeting graduation requirements, and that our school maintains compliance with state attendance standards. These are expectations we hold for all of our students, and this policy reinforces our collective commitment to their success.
