Wear PJs to Support Kids Fighting Cancer!
On Friday, November 21st , students in the Onondaga Central School District are invited to wear their PJs to school in honor of the children who have to wear theirs while receiving treatment. This special event supports Paige’s Childhood Cancer Fund , benefiting pediatric cancer research and patient programs at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital . Each year, 60–70 children in our region are diagnosed with pediatric cancer — your participation helps make a meaningful difference. 💛 How to Participate: • Wear your PJs to school • Consider making a donation to support the cause • Online donations welcome — scan the QR code on the flyer or click here . OCM BOCES Capital Project Vote – November 19, 2025
OCM BOCES, which serves students in our region, is proposing a $30.5 million capital improvement project to enhance safety, accessibility, and learning spaces at its Cortlandville and Thompson Road campuses. 🗓️ Vote Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 🕙 Time: 10 A.M. – 8 P.M. 📍 Voting Locations: OCM BOCES Main Campus (Liverpool) Crown Road Campus (Liverpool) Cortlandville Campus Thompson Road Campus (Syracuse) 💡 The project will be primarily funded through state aid (65%) , with the remaining cost shared among the 23 OCM BOCES component districts. Celebrating OCS Alum Success: Nick Hay ('20)
Onondaga Central Schools is incredibly proud to celebrate OCS Class of 2020 graduate Nick Hay, who is currently enrolled in the Electrical Mechanical Program at Onondaga Community College. Nick recently served as a keynote speaker at the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for OCC's new Micron clean room lab. This was a meaningful moment for Hay, who is excelling in his program and preparing to begin his professional career with Micron at their facility in Manassas, Virginia. Hay's journey is a testament to the impact of hard work and determination in pursuing a career path. His success is a source of great pride for the entire OCS and OCC communities and underscores the meaningful connections between our programs and leading industry partners like Micron. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Nick Hay on his achievements and wish him continued success as he embarks on a promising career.
