Not Me! Training - Parent Preview Night
Last year, PAVE brought in speakers from the “Not Me!” organization to share their curriculum with us during a PAVE meeting. "Not Me!" provides age-appropriate assault prevention and safety training to prepare children to recognize, stop, and prevent sexual assaults. The parents in attendance wanted to see this program implemented at Cologne Academy. With support from our administration, our K-8th grade students will be receiving these classes on Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th during the school day.

We understand that this is a sensitive topic. We would like to invite and encourage you to attend a parent preview night on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:00 p.m. at Cologne Academy. This will be a chance for you to see the class curriculum and ask questions before your child experiences it. You will also be receiving a parent guide which outlines the information that will be taught to the students. We kindly request an RSVP to the parent preview night (Please RSVP on this post).

Approximately 1 in 7 children will be assaulted or sexually abused before their 18th birthday. This training provides a thoughtful, interactive, and fun way to provide students with the tools to recognize, stop, and prevent these assaults. For younger students the program is presented through their “Super Hero Kids” curriculum. Older students also discuss internet safety and peer pressure related to alcohol and drugs. You can look up more information about the organization here:  https://www.notmetraining.com/

Please feel free to reach out with any initial questions that you have. Our administrative team will be reaching out with further details as well. Thank you for your support!
