Encouraging the Light Within Chrysalis to Shine Brighter!
This holiday season, Chrysalis is asking families, alumni, staff, and supporters to donate to our amazing little school. Your gift, no matter how small, will allow us to keep doing all the wonderful things you know and love (like field studies, hands-on science, and supporting our incredible staff) as well as bring fabulous new opportunities to our kiddos (like improving the playground, supporting the Maker Space, and kick-starting our after-school sports program).
To start us off, every single teacher plus Dr. Irene has pledged something to our annual fund. Won't you join us? Our goals are: 80% participation from our current families, gifts from at least 50 alumni families, and a target of $10,000 raised by New Years.
Here's some examples of what your donation could allow us to do:
$3 - Provide a scholarship for a child to attend a field trip — no child is ever denied the opportunity to attend a trip due to inability to pay
$20 - Replace a worn out basketball
$50 - Support a child to come camping with Chrysalis who otherwise couldn't afford to come -- we make every effort to ensure every student that wants to come camping can do so
$150 - Support hands-on science materials for an elementary classroom
$500 - Buy enough bats, balls, and protective gear to start an after-school softball team
$1,200 - Open the Maker Space three days a week at lunchtime for one year
$5,000 - Expand the playground with wall ball or a climbing wall
Unrestricted giving is a powerful way to show your love and support for Chrysalis. Every gift, from 5 cents to 5 grand, makes a huge difference.
For current families, up to $200 per family (at an exchange rate of $10 per hour) can count towards your goal of 40 community service hours.
