SMPCW 60th Anniversary Fund
San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop is celebrating 60 years of supporting families and our community.
Since 1959, SMPCW has continued to serve a community of diverse families where parents engage actively with young children, create a positive learning environment and building skills that promote healthy social and emotional growth. Our cooperative preschool introduces children 2-5 years old to early literacy, social and physical development, and conflict resolution in a nurturing learning environment. SMPCW parents appreciate a strong resource for expanding their parenting skills, while increasing their involvement in the local community. It is our philosophy and experience that better parents and stronger families, create a more connected and effective community for all. The benefit to children, parents, and our community is significant and lasting. Our cooperative preschool has launched more than a thousand children into their school careers.
SMPCW's 60th Anniversary Fund supports and enriches our children's educational experiences at our cooperative school. In addition the Fund contributes to our operating budget and the overall longevity of our preschool program. Tangible experiences such as music/movement enrichment class and art & craft supplies for our children to necessary expenses such as rent and teachers’ salaries are paid for in part from our 60th Anniversary Fund.
Our goal this year is to reach $10,000! How can you contribute to the 60th Anniversary Fund? We are asking our friends, family and community to support our program by donating $60 for 60 years, or any meaningful amount to you. As we look forward to another 60 years supporting families and our community, we know that doesn't just happen by chance. Every single donation makes a lasting impact on the longevity of our program. Every single dedicated parent, teacher or volunteer giving their time to our program makes a difference in the lives of children and families. We appreciate your support and here's to another 60 successful years!
In Gratitude,
San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop
