Travel Guidance Effective April 1, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians. We continue to share key information with our parents and guardians regarding COVID-19 updates. If you are traveling with your family, we provide you with this recent NYS Department of Health Guidance. As a reminder, Spring Recess will take place beginning Friday, April 2, 2021 and will run through Wednesday, April 14, 2021. The latest update from the New York Department of Health follows an order issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo stating that as of April 1, 2021, domestic travelers who enter New York State will no longer be required to quarantine upon entering the state if they are asymptomatic. The mandatory quarantine order remains in effect for international travelers. While no longer required, the NYS Department of Health still recommends quarantine after domestic travel as an added precaution. Additionally all travelers must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form , regardless of vaccination status . All families will be required to fill out the form for each adult in the home upon arrival in New York State. Children or other dependents traveling with adults can be included with one adult on the form. Individuals should continue strict adherence to all safety guidelines to stop the spread - wearing masks, socially distancing and avoiding gatherings. There is an attached letter that outlines additional guidance from the NYS Department of Health for travelers. Together, we are, Panther Strong! Sincerely, Jane Collins Superintendent
