It is Time…

By Anupama Vaid, President and Founder, ParentSquare
Last month at CoSN, I spotted our logo on the sponsor board.
There we were, tucked quietly in the Silver tier, right alongside Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, Palo Alto, and PowerSchool. I laughed. Because that is so us. Heads down, doing the work, while others were louder.
Humility is in our DNA. If you don’t walk through our door with genuine humility, you don’t join our team. The same goes for passion. If you don’t deeply care about making a difference for students and schools, ParentSquare is not the right place for you. These are our two non-negotiables, the permissions to play that have shaped every hire, every decision, every product we have built in the last 15 years.
We will always lead with humility. That will never change. But the company we have built has outgrown the quiet.
It is time to tell our story.
We have grown into something bigger than we imagined

The last time we changed our logo was in 2014. We had just made the leap from serving individual schools to serving entire districts, and the old logo, a group of kids holding hands with the sun behind them, no longer fit what we had become.
This is that moment again.
ParentSquare today reaches more than 22 million students across 42,000 schools. Our districts typically reach 99.4% of families, including the families who have historically been the hardest to contact. When a district sends an attendance notice, a payment reminder, or an urgent weather closure, every family receives it, in their home language, on their preferred device. No tech-savvy needed. No language barriers. Every family, fully included.
That kind of reach changes how a school community functions. And it has happened because of who we are and how we build.
We are champions for our customers, every person at ParentSquare puts schools first, always. We win together—no one here says “that’s not my job.” We build trust through radical transparency, with our customers and with each other. And no matter how large we have become, we never lose our entrepreneurial spirit, we stay agile, innovative, and yes, still scrappy.
These are not values we put on a wall. They are how we actually operate, every single day.
This doesn’t happen by accident. We are, without question, the best in product innovation, the best in serving our customers, and the best in making ParentSquare a place where people love to work. We are purposeful about all three—every single day.
The logo that no longer fits
When we first drew our logo, we drew it on paper. Four colors. Four voices. One connected community: staff, parents, students, and guests. We loved it.

And we outgrew it.
It was hard to use in print, hard to read in monochrome, hard to spot from a distance (just take another look at the CoSn board). More importantly, it no longer told the truth about what ParentSquare had become. Not just a communication tool, but the family engagement infrastructure that districts actually run on, reaching every family in their home language, in their preferred mode of communicating.

ParentSquare
So we reimagined it, with care. We kept the spirit, while making it simpler, stronger, and more adaptable. At the heart of the new logo is the same idea of connection, now expressed through what we are calling a “squircle.” Not quite a square, not quite a circle. Structured, yet human. Familiar, yet modern.
Just like us.
Along with the new logo, we are launching a completely redesigned website today, one that finally shows the full depth of what the ParentSquare platform can do.
We are ready for what comes next
Here is something that should matter to every district we serve: Sohit and I are engineers. We have spent our careers understanding how technology actually works, not just what it promises. As AI arrives in schools, that matters. Districts are rightly cautious. They need a partner who will move forward thoughtfully, not recklessly, one who understands both the power and the responsibility of what AI can do in a school community.
We have always believed that technology should strengthen human connection, not replace it. That principle guides everything we are building with ParentSquare Intelligence. We use AI to help districts communicate more effectively, reach families more equitably, and turn engagement signals into real action, so educators can focus on the moments that matter.
The AI era in education is not something to fear. With the right partner, it is something to lead.
We are ready to help our schools do exactly that.
Same ParentSquare, bolder chapter.
The platform hasn’t changed. Your login, data, workflows, features: everything you rely on continues exactly as it always has.
What has changed is how we show up.
For fifteen years, we have quietly built what millions of families and educators depend on every day. We started with humble roots, driven by curiosity and a genuine belief that every family deserves to be part of their child’s school community. That belief carried us forward and into more schools than we ever imagined.
Today, ParentSquare is the trusted family engagement infrastructure for school districts nationwide. And we are still just as driven to push farther, understand more deeply, and build what schools actually need.
Now, our brand finally reflects the company we have become, and the company we are still becoming.
It is time.
Much love, Anu & Sohit
