New School Year Website Launch Roundup: Celebrating Our Newest Smart Sites

Happy young couple browsing on laptop in their kitchen

A new school year means fresh starts, and for hundreds of schools and districts, that included a brand-new website.  As families looked for bus routes, supply lists, and enrollment forms, these sites were ready to welcome them with modern design, accessible navigation, and content that’s easy for staff to keep current all year long.

With so many outstanding launches over the summer, choosing just a handful was no easy task. Here are eight of our favorites, a small sample of the work that helped schools kick off the 2026–27 school year. We’re also spotlighting two longtime Smart Sites districts that just added our newest feature, AI Assistant.

Richmond Public Schools

Richmond Public Schools in Virginia proudly serves 22,000 students across more than 50 campuses and is one of the 100 largest school divisions in the country. Their new website tells the story of a district on the rise while keeping essential information close at hand.

What we love about their new site:
  • A rotating hero banner with clear calls to action, inviting families to start an enrollment application, get involved in community planning, and join district celebrations
  • “RPS On the Rise” impact statements that highlight real progress, like a 6-point increase in the graduation rate and K-2 reading proficiency now above pre-pandemic levels
  • A Latest News feed that keeps families up to date with regular district updates, plus a ParentSquare callout that drives families to stay connected to district communications
