ParentSquare CEO Wins Entrepreneurship Award

Santa Barbara, Calif. (May 11, 2015) – Anupama Vaid, CEO of ParentSquare, a simple and secure communication platform designed to reach and engage every parent, has won a 2015 Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award in the science and technology category. Vaid was among thirty-three women nominated in Santa Barbara County for their achievements in their respective fields.

“We had an amazing group of candidates this year, and it was hard for our judges to narrow it down to one woman in each category,” said Cathy Feldman, board chair and CEO of the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Foundation.

“These remarkable women have such a variety of enterprises that we
think it is important to tell the community about them.”

The Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards were created by the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Foundation and are designed to recognize the contributions of women entrepreneurs supporting the Santa Barbara County economy, as well as support the future economic growth through recognition and education of student entrepreneurs.

“It is truly an honor to receive this award and to be recognized among all the inspiring and accomplished women nominated for these awards,” said Vaid. “Much like ParentSquare, this award was founded with the vision of making a positive difference in our community. At ParentSquare, we help schools and families work together to play an active role in children’s success at school.”
