CoSN2024: What Not to Miss at This Year’s CoSN Conference

Education conference season is just beginning, and the next event is right on the horizon. From April 8-10, school system technology leaders, government and nonprofit representatives, and edtech companies will gather in Miami, Florida for CoSN2024.

The Consortium of School Networking (CoSN) is the national professional association for K-12 edtech leaders, their teams, and other school leaders in districts across the country. CoSN has chapters in 30 U.S. states to provide thought leadership resources, community, best practices, and advocacy tools to help edtech leaders succeed in their digital transformations.

For 30 years, CoSN has hosted an annual conference where members and non-members gather to attend innovative learning sessions, network, and share best practices. This year’s theme is “Leading for Innovation at Warp Speed,” with conference programming designed to spark conversations that drive innovation with inclusive and agile technology leadership. We’re also thrilled to share that ParentSquare’s Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, Chad Stevens, will be awarded recognition in the 2024 CoSN Volunteer Hall of Fame.

Between the vibrant city of Miami and the valuable opportunities for learning and networking at the conference, here are seven things you won’t want to miss at CoSN2024:

1. Join the ParentSquare Team at the Area 31 Rooftop on the Kimpton EPIC Hotel for a special event.

We’ll be there from 7–9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9. Stop by for drinks, food, and good times with friends and colleagues! RSVP here.

2. Kick off your networking at pre-conference events

Attend the CETL Summit and Happy Hour on Saturday to connect with other CETLs before the conference begins. The ParentSquare team is also excited to sponsor the Large District Summit and State Chapter Leaders’ Meeting on Sunday to help facilitate conversations and hear your needs and challenges.

3. Devour one of Miami’s famous Cubano sandwiches.

There are dozens of spots to find one of these delicious hot sandwiches, traditionally made with ham or pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard, but we recommend Sanguich in Little Havana for a local favorite just 10 minutes from the conference hotel.

4. Explore the expo hall.

At this year’s conference, you’ll find immersive product demos from over 75 companies in the edtech space. Discover new products and services that can help modernize your district’s digital ecosystem to enable an inclusive edtech approach.

5. Learn alongside other K-12 leaders and professionals and forge new connections.

With over 100 workshops, spotlight sessions, and breakout sessions, it’s easy to find presentations specific to your learning goals. You can also connect with a growing community of school system technology leaders, administrators, and government and nonprofit representatives through special events throughout the conference week.

6. Take a break from learning to visit the inspiring Pérez Art Museum Miami.

Known for its refreshing collection of modern and contemporary art, the Pérez Art Museum Miami is dedicated to exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on representing and cherishing the unique diversity of Miami-Dade.

7. Meet ParentSquare leaders at Booth 57!
