Accessibility at ParentSquare
Focus on Inclusive Engagement
At ParentSquare, we believe equity begins with access. We are dedicated to providing accessible experiences to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We view accessibility not as a checklist, but as an ongoing commitment to inclusive design and continuous improvement.
Commitment to Accessibility Standards
Response to New Federal and State Requirements on Web Accessibility Standards
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the technical standards referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
The US Department of Justice policy mandates state and local government compliance with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by April 2026. We are dedicated to ensuring that our platform conforms with these standards by the deadline.
In addition, various states will be mandating compliance with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. We are similarly dedicated to ensuring that our platform conforms with these standards by July 2026.
Additionally, our platform is designed to support our district customers in meeting their
obligations under Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
To deliver on our accessibility commitments:
- We design, develop, and test our platform with accessibility in mind.
- We regularly evaluate our platform against WCAG standards using both automated and
manual testing methods. - We engage accessibility professionals to review and advise on improvements.
- Our team continuously updates our content, technology, and design practices to reflect
evolving accessibility standards and user needs.
